Early Access Review
I've only invested two runs into this game so far, but I could see this becoming an addiction. It's difficult to describe exactly what this game is like – think a Hades or Binding of Isaac upgrade system, with Enter the Gungeon action, wrapped up in an Asteroids package. Even in the short time that I played this game, I could see the potential for some absolutely CRAZY builds, which I always have a lot of fun putting together. The upgrades are fun and VERY satisfying, and the tree system is a unique way to encourage a focused build. There are also tons of accessibility options, such as customizable controls and a multitude of graphics settings, with more on the way after it's out of Early Access.

If I were to provide a bit of critique, I would suggest that there be an option to enlarge the text, UI, and HUD. Not all of us are full-HD gamers; I found it a bit difficult to read some of the text and health bars at 720p, the resolution I usually use for gaming. Also, controlling the ship takes a little getting used to, but if you're REALLY not clicking with the controls, there are a handful of control scheme options to play around with.

TL;DR: if you like Asteroids, roguelites, shoot-em-ups, or any combination therein, I think Nova Drift is a pretty safe bet. Go ahead, I DARE you to do only one run.

There's a reason that this game has defined a new generation of rogue-lite gaming. If you haven't played it yet, you're missing out.
