I wanted to give a positive review because it is Life Is Strange but the performance issues are making me see the reasons.

THE GRAPHICS OF LIFE IS STRANGE SHOULD NOT MATTER! THE ORIGINAL LIFE IS STRANGE USES HAND DRAWN AND PAINTED TEXTURES WITH LOW POLYGONS COUNT. GRAPHICAL/PERFORMANCE ISSUES ARE PROBABLY THE WORST REASONS FOR A LIFE IS STRANGE GAME TO LAG.

Playing in Windowed Mode at 1280x720 = 15FPS What is Deck Nine doing? They had weeks to fix performance issues from the people who bought Ultimate Edition... Did they hire Interns to take care of this game? (I have a computer way above the specs asked, 3060, i5-10400F, 64GB RAM)

This game is the worst game that I ever ran in my entire life and I've seen plenty of bad ports (that had FPS)
As for Unreal Engine 5 games, Silent Hill 2 and Until Dawn had way better stability than this horrible pile of crap.

what I mean is that Deck 9 is managing things poorly, very poorly... This is kind of sad as LiS is a beloved and unique franchise that can only be revived by the original writers even though they are Parisians bobos (oui je suis 1 parigo, et j'ai parlé à Koch c'est un vrai bobo)

GET THE ORIGINAL WRITERS BACK, FINISH UP THE TRILOGY WITH LIFE IS STRANGE 3. DON'T MAKE ANY LIFE IS STRANGE GAMES EVER AGAIN PLEASE.

Pro tip if you own a Nintendo Switch: They'll release the Switch version in 2 months or so, probably don't buy this unoptimized crap and get your "legal backup" with Atmosphere

Pros:
- Innovative gameplay and the UI is user-friendly
- Better accessibility features
- DLCs aren't locked with DRM
Cons:
- The writing is rather boring and dull (Don't care)
- No french voice over even though you're in France
- It's prequel, Sniper Elite 4 is "graphically superior" (more aesthetically pleasant)
- Time to beat is low for it's price
- Too many DLCs (and they don't add too much content/play time)
- Denuvo (+ Easy Anti-Cheat which can be disabled)
- Bugfest

This is just disappointing to see how Rebellion has been treating the Sniper Elite franchise over the last few years and it is taking the wrong direction. Although I am grateful to this franchise because it has helped me bond with my father since the first one.

If you want a better and free alternative go for DS4Windows (DSX wouldn't exist without DS4Windows), it has better performance and this software will be deprecated soon anyways...

New features are completely useless except if you want to know you many times you pressed your X button and control your Dualsense's LED.

DSX.exe takes about 250,000 K~ memory while DS4Windows takes 60,000 K~ memory. (See that huge memory gap? Yeah, that's poor coding probably made by a CS student, even Discord takes less memory!) As for CPU usage, it's about the same, takes too much from the CPU (5-10%~)

The software is aesthetically disgusting, I mean who uses border-radius at 12px with a gradient background? A CS student! (Not that it isn't a bad thing)

Making it simple DS4Windows has the same features as DSX except for the Adaptive Triggers/Discord Rich Presence/Stupid Easter Eggs and in DS4Windows, you can remap your buttons while in DSX you can't.

I used this software when it was open-source but now it's just a massive cash grab!! Please, don't waste your money on this and give it to somebody local who needs it!
