A Gentlemens Dispute | By Wholf
  • A Gentlemen’s Dispute is an absolute blast, especially with friends.
From ragdolling chaos to explosive moments that send you flying through the sky, it’s packed with hilarious, over-the-top fun.

  • I’m really looking forward to the full release and all the extra content that’ll come with it. The game combines cartoonish charm with chaotic gameplay in the best way possible.

  • While it’s mostly laughs and good times, it can get a little frustrating — especially when you’re launched across the map for the tenth time. But hey, that’s part of the fun!

Boring, bland and repetitive. I don't get the hype.

Mini Royale | By Wholf
  • I had some hopes for Mini Royale since I really liked the concept, and I was actually a playtester about a year ago. I forgot about the game until someone shared it with me, and I thought, "Oh yeah, that’s right!" So, I downloaded it and played for about an hour, but the vibe just wasn’t there anymore.

  • I kept trying to find matches, but the queue times were long, so I played Deathmatch to pass the time. When I finally got into a match, I died instantly. I respawned, only to get sniped from across the map in one shot. Meh, okay. But then I got killed by someone with a shotgun… from 200 meters away? Weird. I tried again, looted up—everything was epic rarity—then a guy rushed me with an AK-47 and killed me in less than a second. At this point, it felt like the game was overrun with cheaters.

  • The graphics and overall quality feel like a massive downgrade—dull, bland, and the movement is far from smooth. It feels clunky and unpolished. There are also major sound issues: footsteps don’t always register, bullets sound off, and enemies can rush you in complete silence. Maybe it’s desync?

Overall, I’d give it a 3/10. I had some hope, but the game just has too many issues to enjoy.

OUTLAWED | By Wholf
  • OUTLAWED is a fast-paced, open-world PVP/PVE extraction shooter featuring a distinct low-poly style. Inspired by other extraction games, it offers engaging mechanics where you can loot, shoot, level up, and gear up. Players can drive a variety of vehicles—both practical and hilarious—across different zones that range in difficulty. The riskier the zone, the better the loot and rewards, but also the greater the danger.

  • I've spent around 10–20 hours in the playtest and enjoyed every minute of it. While I noticed that the game didn't have a huge player base during the test, I truly hope that now, with its full release, more players will join. Whether playing solo, with friends, or teaming up with random players, the experience is genuinely fun.

  • The developer is passionate about the project, and while some may compare elements to Call of Duty Warzone, OUTLAWED stands out with its unique low-poly aesthetic, quirky vehicles, and engaging gameplay. It has immense potential, and I’d love to see it grow even further.

  • Regarding the price, I understand that some may find it a bit high. Many players would prefer it to be free-to-play or priced around 5 euros. While I personally support the project, a price adjustment might attract more players.

  • Overall, OUTLAWED is a fun and promising game with plenty to offer right now and even more to come. If you're unsure, Steam’s refund policy allows you to try it risk-free for up to two hours. I’ll continue to support and play it, and I hope to see more of you in-game. Keep up the great work!

Gothic 1 | By Wholf
  • I’ve never played the Gothic games before, but the demo and screenshots piqued my interest, so I decided to give it a try. I understand that this is a demo and still in early development, but unfortunately, I have a few negatives to point out.

  • The movement feels very clunky, combat is stiff, and my character sometimes performs actions I didn’t even input. I just couldn’t get into it. I also killed a few animals and looted their meat, but I was hoping for a more detailed system—like actually skinning the animal before collecting the meat—rather than just looting it instantly. I prefer a more realistic approach to these mechanics.

  • The story seemed alright, but I didn’t pay much attention because there was too much dialogue, and I also encountered occasional NPC glitches. When I reached the canyon, I had to fight an enemy with my club for a quest. This fight dragged on for about 10 minutes due to the clunky movement and combat. Every time I got hit, I was stuck in a frustratingly long animation for around five seconds, and dodging, rolling, and blocking didn’t work as smoothly as they should.

  • Later, I returned to where I spawned and saw a gate with a ladder. I climbed up, spoke to an NPC, and gave him beer. Suddenly, I was thrown into a fight without warning, and he instantly killed me—forcing me to restart the entire demo.

The only aspect I truly enjoyed was the graphics on high settings, but beyond that, the experience felt rough.

Project Hailstorm | By Wholf
  • You basically just walk around, solve extremely simple puzzles that even a 2-year-old could figure out, and keep moving forward while listening to some mediocre voice-overs and generic "trying to be scary" sound effects. The only redeeming quality was the graphics, and that’s about it.

  • It’s a very short walking simulator with no story whatsoever. At the end, you touch an altar, and all you get is the credits rolling. That’s it. Honestly, I feel like I just wasted my time playing this.

Delta Force | By Wholf
  • Where do I even start? I've been a Delta Force fan for as long as I can remember. My journey began with Delta Force: Extreme, a game I used to play non-stop back in the day. I've loved the series ever since, but as time went on, the name faded from memory. Seeing Delta Force pop up on Steam recently brought back a wave of nostalgia. That said, I knew it wouldn’t be the same experience I had back then. After all, it’s 2024—games have evolved, with modern graphics and mechanics.

  • When I finally downloaded Delta Force and jumped into the action, it reminded me a lot of Battlefield 2042, which I played just a few weeks ago. From the battles to the vehicles, the similarities were striking. The graphics, sound design, and effects are undeniably polished and have that modern 2024 vibe. But the gameplay itself—whether I was a sniper or a medic—felt eerily similar to Battlefield, just slightly different. While the technical aspects are spot on, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was playing a slightly different version of something I’d already experienced.

  • Regarding cheaters, I’ve seen plenty of complaints, but luckily, I haven’t encountered any myself. Sure, there were moments when I suspected foul play, but often, it was just players being better. That said, the matches felt like I was constantly up against high-ranked players, with people racking up 50–80 kills, prefiring corners like crazy, and giving off a strong Call of Duty vibe. The skill gap felt massive, almost as if skill-based matchmaking was in play, even though I wasn’t in ranked mode.

  • On the bright side, the battles themselves can be immersive. Depending on the map, the chaos of bullets flying, explosions nearby, and the satisfying feel of landing a sniper headshot were highlights. However, vehicles could use some work—they feel clunky and unpolished at times. Some weapons also feel underpowered, like nerf guns, barely scratching enemies.

  • As for the extraction mode, I’m torn. I understand that cheaters and highly skilled players are part of the experience, but constantly getting prefired—despite being silenced and hidden without UAVs—feels off. One frustrating moment was when I spawned, fully geared with top-tier items, only to get instantly killed by an SMG from 80 meters away. It was one of those rage-inducing moments that made me question if I even wanted to continue.

  • Overall, while I appreciate the effort and the nostalgia Delta Force tries to evoke, the magic just isn’t there for me. The game feels like a Battlefield clone with DLCs tacked on, trying to compete in a crowded market of 2024 shooters. It doesn’t feel unique, and sadly, I think it might struggle to hold a player base beyond a few months.

IfSunSets | By Wholf
  • IfSunSets is a survival RPG set in a vast world filled with exploration, monsters, secrets, and more—where hordes of enemies come after you at night! But what do I think about IfSunSets?

  • The game is visually stunning, with excellent music, effects, and sound design that create an immersive atmosphere. Having played it for about 4 hours, I can already see that this version has significantly more content and fixes compared to the demo/prologue I experienced for around 60 hours.

  • I've been a fan since day one, especially because the developers are very communicative, regularly provide updates, and listen to community feedback. It's very rare these days.

  • I understand that the development team is small with limited resources, but their achievements so far are impressive, and I wish them all the best. There are known issues, like bugs, glitches, and problems with saving progress, which can be frustrating—like when I lost around 30 minutes of progress due to a save issue. Despite this, I remain hopeful they'll resolve these problems.

  • There's so much more to discover in this world! From what I experienced in the demo/prologue, there's easily over 50 hours of gameplay, depending on your playstyle. The amount of content is impressive, especially with a well-designed base-building system and an enemy trap system. The enemies even have pathfinding, making the defenses even more satisfying to set up. It all adds a strategic layer that makes the experience genuinely engaging.

  • As for multiplayer, there are similar bugs, such as lost items and connection issues. While these problems exist in this early access game, the team has acknowledged them and is actively working on fixes. They're awesome!

  • Overall, I'm really enjoying the game. The company behind it is fantastic, the gameplay is smooth, and I'm excited about the future of IfSunSets.

Throne and Liberty | By Wholf
  • While Throne and Liberty initially started as a Lineage 2-related project, it’s clear that the game has no real ties to the series, aside from the same frustrating RNG-based gear enhancement system. At least they admitted this by giving the game a new title.

  • The P2W aspect is overwhelming. RNG equipment upgrades (reminiscent of Lineage 2) are tied heavily to cash purchases. You can improve your luck, buy almost everything with premium currency, and, in essence, swipe your way to victory.

  • Borrowing heavily from Guild Wars 2 (GW2), the combat feels flashier but mechanically worse. The overdone animations and visual effects make it chaotic, with little to no feedback from your character. PvP, based on videos I’ve seen, looks even more frustrating. In comparison, Guild Wars 2, a 12-year-old game, handles a similar system far better.

  • Combat is actually the most enjoyable part of Throne and Liberty, but the game barely lets you experience it in the early stages. In my first 8 hours, I spent about 20 minutes fighting. The rest was running around, following the story, and dealing with repetitive tasks.

  • The narrative is shallow, generic, and full of poorly translated fantasy clichés. The lore is a confusing mishmash of random names, events, and places with no real connection or explanation. It somehow manages to feel both overly simplistic ("bad guys with red eyes are evil") and ridiculously convoluted (with constant references to unpronounceable names and items that mean nothing to the player).

  • The characters are poorly written, poorly translated, and badly dubbed. Even though the voice actors seem to be trying, it’s clear they had no direction. The dialogues are painful, often nonsensical, and make the story even harder to take seriously.

  • The worst offender is an incredibly annoying companion character—an odd, chibi-like creature with 2D smiley faces that scream in high-pitched gibberish. It’s inserted into nearly every serious moment, ruining the tone and delivering severe mood whiplash.

  • As expected from a game released in 2024, the graphics are visually appealing but lack creativity. The environments feel generic, almost like AI-generated fantasy landscapes. Lost Ark was far more inventive in terms of art direction and location variety.

  • In typical MMORPG fashion, Throne and Liberty includes standard fantasy races like orcs, dwarves, and goblins—but you can’t play any of them. Character creation is average for 2024, with body type customization being mostly symbolic. Every character ends up looking the same, and the city quickly turns into a sea of similar-shaped avatars. You can create a character that doesn’t look like a K-pop star, but the story forces you into the role of a 16-18-year-old protagonist, making it unintentionally hilarious if your character looks any older.

  • Throne and Liberty is a visually polished but deeply flawed MMORPG. The P2W mechanics are intrusive, the combat is underwhelming, and the story is bland at best. While there’s some potential with its flashy combat and morphing mechanics, the game’s lack of substance and overwhelming reliance on cash purchases make it hard to recommend.
