This game is so cIearIy unfinished, that being it said, it very much deserves its very positive overaII rating.

it's a fun, very cute, muItipIayer game. It is a fusion of minecraft and terraria.

I appreciate how ambitious the creator is, and can't wait to see what they are bringing out next.

For its current price and earIy access(ness)-- i recommend this game to everyone who enjoys minecraft/terraria type games

This is a great game but it's only for those are into this genre of game.

It isn't immediately clear what kind of game this is through the trailer, but it's sort of a tower defense roguelike. You can control up to 1-4 chars (in multiplayer you share the four with other players, not choose not to share).

You walk through a dungeon that has random contents through doors, and most doors have enemies randomly generate in the dark sections of the map.

You can establish turrets, resource generation, and use your heroes to defend a centralized crystal.

Then there are a bunch of modes that change the rules of the vanilla game for more interesting game play.

It will definitely be fun if you're into this genre, especially you play with a friend.

There are two negatives in this game:
1. In very high levels (floor 30+) the game is glitchy, your items disappear don't appear in inventory, also the shop clerk gets stuck when in narrow/small rooms. These are not game breaking bugs, however they are simple bugs that should have been fixed.

2. you can't control the hero except for telling them where to go. disappointing, would have made the game better. it's fine though.

Battle realms: winter of the wolf is a very unique RTS. In that your units have to be trained. They don't just spawn out of nowhere. And the main resources do not run out (such as warcraft and starcraft)

This encourages a very different play style and strategies not seen in other RTS games.

If you played battle realms before, this is very much the same game. With virtually 0 improvements at all (as of right now). If you liked the game before, you will probably like it now.

Is it worth the money? Actually, maybe not. But I myself did pay for the game. Hopefully showing the game developers that there is actual interest. And maybe we will get actual concrete improvements.

As for the people who say the multiplayer is broken nonfuctional.

It... sometimes works. it's not completely broken. But it's not perfect either.

An amazing game. Keeps you on your toes. Feels very rewarding.

Drops a lot of the creative aspects of minecraft, and ups the ante on the survival aspects of it.

The game heavily punishes people that go into the game blind.

I recommend learning about it a tiny bit before playing with other people.
And definitely, play with other people.

The game is funnest when everyone is as clueless as you (or as knowledgeable as you)

This game is as interesting as it is unique. It's definitely a heist game, but it isn't like most other heist games I know. Playing it with friends is somewhat reminiscent of the Crystal Chronicle games or Four Swords series from nintendo (with the caveat that killing enemies is not a very good strategy).

You spend a lot of time evading, and needing to coordinate with your teammates. The cooperation needed to pull off a heist is really rewarding when you eventually succeed.

That being said, it still is possible to beat levels by blitzing and killing enemies. It just... isn't as clean or satisfying as a heist where you absolutely hoodwinked the bank and nobody knew you were there.

The soundtrack is pretty good, and the story is surprisingly good as well.

I'll be the first to admit that it isn't the best game out there, and it is on the pricey side. But does have good replay value, and it is *loads* of fun to play with people you love :3

(Maybe not as fun if you don't have friends to play with? Though you're more than capable of making friends with the other singles in the game)

I would definitely advise you to get it in a heartbeat if it was on a 75% off sale---especially if you enjoy coop games. Though if you weren't sold on what you've heard so far, I would probably look more into the gameplay. Admittedly, it isn't for everyone.

Also, if you want to do 4 player local coop, you're going to have to have 3 controllers. (There is a mod that lets you have two players both on keyboard, but otherwise, no).

10/10
Get the four pack so you can make your friends play with you.

TOS is still a very very young game that takes note from its predecessors.

It seems heavily influenced by Ragnarok Online 1, dragon nest, and WoW, and perhaps final fantasy tactics, to a small degree.

If you enjoyed those games, it's very likely you would enjoy this game. The world is gorgeous, and the music is nice. The storyline isn't bad if you're into that sort of thing. Gameplay is okay.

The funnest part about ToS, and also the scariest part are the character customizations. You have A LOT of freedom making your build. There is no *i'm an archer*, or *i'm a healer*. There are several jobs you can take, that altogether can make you a unique character.
If you do not think about your builds ahead of time, you WILL be punished.

I've spent at least 1/3 of my ToS time theory-building my characters. It is A LOT of fun. You aren't just grinding for gears, exp, or brainlessly questing. You are building towards a character that is yours.

There are a lot of unsatisfied, very entitled customers who have written negative reviews for ToS. While there is some truth to what they say, their anger sort of blinds them. ToS is a very young game, and they have made it very clearly that they are not just another WoW copycat game.

I've seen the staff try very hard to make sure the game is enjoyable. I've seen them implement several fixes in the last three weeks. They are quite active, which makes me feel like there is a lot of room for improvement.

There was a really really bad gigantic bot problem a week ago. The staff showed their proactiveness by decimating the bot population. It feels like 85% of them are gone. The problem isn't as bad anymore.

Though, if you do decide to play/buy this game, prepare to get frustrated from time to time.

Pros:
-Beautiful
-One of the best class customization mechanics i've seen
-Staff trying very hard
-Story isn't stupid
-Music isn't annoying
-Cute pets in the future (can anyone say guinea pig?)
-Nice little misc features (there are many, i won't list them).
-You can killsteal people you hate
-There is an actual limit to the pay2win you can do. Something most games can't say.
-A lot of brazilians

Cons.
-A lot of brazilians (if you aren't brazilian, many of them will snub you)
-buggy
-skills can be mysterious
-there are a lot of bots
-people can killsteal you
-buggy
-did i mention buggy
-many barriers to trading.

Imo, the frustration is worth the fun it is playing the game. I love it. A lot of people will say the game isn't balanced. Neither is Pokemon. And they're both fun.

4/5

It's a great game. but 4/5, because it could be better.
