Outer Wilds is a non-linear space exploration game. The game is kind of build like an escape room, except it changes over the course of 22 minutes, as new paths open and old ones get destroyed. While you explore you not only learn about hidden paths and where to go next, but also the alien race that visited your solar system thousands of years before you even existed. Lore and gameplay mechanics are often connected, which makes reading the hundreds of messages feel worth it and a lot more interesting.

Simply traversing a planet can be fun because of how good the jetpack feels to use and how much speed you can get through the gravity on the planet.

This game can be very frustrating at times, especially the DLC is hard as ♥♥♥♥, but it 100% makes up for it with its atmosphere and presentation and also the existential crisis you will get after beating the game. This is the type of game that makes you like videogames
