Introduction
Now I understand now why this game is so negatively reviewed, the story of the game suck with an underwhelming feeling. The game does some things right, that I can see, but it is immediately trampled on by some other crap. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the game, and I did laugh at times at some of the witty comments by the characters, but it was not enough for me to warrant a positive review.

Game play
The game play of NTB (New Tales from the Borderlands) is quite the same as the older Tales from the Borderlands where you sit back and watch the story unfold and have your input every once in a while. There are other aspects that are new and different to this game which makes it more of a game experience rather than a play along movie.

There is more walking and environment exploring, with this the walking is more fleshed out rather than the previous game and more modernised. You have a full 360 degrees worth of movement with the camera. This gives the environments a more immersive feeling.

The Vault landers mini-game is a nice addition with its own system. It gives the game a new and different style of game play compared to the original format. This is a nice approach of splitting up game play and has some interesting moments when you do start to play.

Mechanics
There aren't many mechanics to this game only to the fact that you are making decisions based on the current situation. There are some mechanics within the vault landers mini-game but they seem to not really matter, as long as you time your hits and dodge when prompted.

Aesthetics and Animation
The aesthetics of this game are phenomenal. Although they are very similar to the Borderlands 3 style and quality, it works so much better in a game like this. It allows for the game to run smoothly and still have the wow factor of the beautiful comic styling and textures. The lighting is less neon compared to Borderlands 3. This is a improvement in my opinion because during a story game I don't want to be bombarded with lights all the time.

The animations for NTB are great and they are up to a good standard for a story led game like this. They all go great in hand with the great aesthetics, environment and game play elements. The animations are fluid and fit each of the characters personalities.

Environment
The environments for this game are pretty good and there are a few of them that change up the feeling of the game at the time. At one point you are on the atlas space station where you have the space ship living essentials and technology, whereas on Promethea you have this run down, war torn, cyberpunk environment that is slight-apocalyptic world.

Storyline/Progression
This is the part where the review for this game gets negative, the story for this game kind of sucks. The entire plot is bad and seems to be rushed but lets start at the beginning to give you the big picture.

There are three main characters that don't really meld together as a team. You have the brother and sister (Octavio and Anu), these people just got on my nerves the entire game. Octavio is just stupid and has no clue what's going on and Anu is a smart scientist in a stupid world but has no confidence so she is useless. Fran is a cool character concept and her personality is great but there are some point where she just seems empty inside and all that character is gone. Fran is also quite funny at times. There are two characters that I personally liked but they killed them off later in the game and one of them was for literally no reason. Staple face was shot in a pursuit which is understandable (I mean this is borderlands we are talking about, someone is about to be shot.) and when Louis just randomly jumped in front of a bullet for Octavio going throughout the entire game not understanding human emotion.

Now we got the characters out of the way, now the plot and story. These three individuals stumble upon each other and they find themselves wanting one thing only and that is money for their own endeavours from this device that Anu has created. The three of them go and try and make some money all while there is a planetary invasion happening by invading a vault and causally killing a vault monster with no guns and acquire a crystal that heals any would and even death. I think this is going to be a mistake for the future of the borderlands series (for-shadowing...). But at the end of the game there is another crystal that when combined with the other creates this god like being that has almost no affiliation with the Eridans or any other faction in the borderlands franchise. If this wasn't confusing or bad enough as it is all this power gets put in a little robot that is twice as annoying as claptrap.

Now for some good parts of the game that I enjoyed and think that are good. For starter some of the encounters and parts of the game were funny and I enjoyed playing it such as the Tediore grunt who challenges you to vault landers, he was funny. Finally something that they did right compared to their last game was the antagonist. Susan Coldwell was a brilliant cold hearted villain who didn't care about what was going on as long as she got what she wanted, a classic really.

Conclusion
Overall I think that this game sucks and all you need is a synopsis of the story to play the other games and try to enjoy them. I only played it because I had it as a part of the Pandora collection and had the spare time on my hands. The story sucks with a very underwhelming ending and confusing at that but there are some glimmers of hope within this game and give the future of the borderlands franchise hope. I know that this review is late for any type on influence on the creation of borderlands 4 but I know that the community of the borderlands franchise has mutual feeling about directive.

Introduction
Dead Island is a classic game from my childhood and I wanted to finally say that I had completed it. I also wanted to play it in time for when I play Dead Island 2, in doing so I have a good idea of how the game works and its flow of how it plays out. Over all I feel , even though it is quite old, that this game did not age well. The systems and engine seem mediocre at best and the story is kind of bad in my opinion. It took me 10 hours to complete all while doing some side quests to scale better.

Game play
The game play consist of a main story progression of completing tasks for people who have been affected by the infection. Finding any weapons that you can use to fend for yourself. There are four main character that you can play and they have their own skills which you can build around to have a different play style. Dead Island is also a co-op multiplayer game. It has a similar format to Borderlands as a looter shooter but in this case a looter smacker.

Mechanics
There are a few mechanics in Dead Island that are important for you to survive in island of Banoi. Some of these mechanics seem too harsh at times and some what annoying. The stamina mechanic makes sense for all it is used for but its too harsh for the setting that this game has to offer especially in the later game.

Character skills seem really plain and mundane in what effects that they offer and some skills don't even seem worth a point in the first place. But the characters fury skills are a massive highlight of the games combat and really make some of the encounters trivial.

Aesthetics and Animation
The aesthetics of Dead island are quite colourful considering on what is going on with quite a realistic, for the time. The are a lot of scenes of gore in this game, so if it's for you then look away. The game captures a great point in time where the outbreak occurs and people are in a panic but that point in time where all human activity stops.

The animations are pretty basic but are decent for the game and what they need to show you the player. Some of the zombies attacks are not televised very well but I feel that could be considered as a zombie being a zombie I guess, but from a game play perspective it makes it hard, some times, to time attacks.

Environment
Dead Islands environment is in the name. You are on the island and it's all dead, or full of them. You are at an island resort when the outbreak causes havoc and you get to see all the different aspects of Banoi this comes in the different zones that you can visit.

The resort and beach show a great holiday experience gone bad with all the different pools and bars that have been destroyed or tainted by undead. Blood scattered everywhere making it not so much of a get away destination.

The city shows the destruction and desolation of a city and its residence gone mad. It is also prevalent with all the rebels that are holding up different parts of the city. All the different building crumbling gives the city a different vibe than the resort.

Different again there is the jungle and the laboratory. These locations are very different again from the other two and give the story a better flow where you have to travel to different zones. The game give more and more lore for the different zones that you travel to.

Finally the prison is the final place that you visit and it quite confusing to traverse but that would be normal for a place like that and all the different zombies that they there makes it feel like a dangerous place to be.

Storyline/Progression
The story for this game is quite underwhelming in the fact that you are bouncing between different story objectives for no actual reason. I get that the main characters want to help survivors but moving on to the next zone and basically forgetting them makes the story seem like it doesn't matter to save people. Overall the main story plot has one good hook but then is thrown away by the ending which is pretty poor.

Game play progression is a traditional levelling system with different zombies offering different experience. These levels allow the player to scale with different and upgrading skills. Weapons scale with the story and character level and the type of weapon that they are.

Conclusion
In conclusion the game is fun to play but the story isn't a great, the ending seems really underwhelming and I feel like I have been cheated when finishing the game. As I do perfect games I don't know if this one is worth my time to go back to. I feel this warrants a negative review as I do not want to go back to the game after wanting to finish the story and playing the game is not rewarding enough.

Introduction
Clustertruck is a brilliant and goofy parkour game that tests your skills of jumping around from truck to truck. I have found myself playing this game for hours at a time and just getting lost in the truck and all the different ways you can beat a level. The sweat on my hands and head are unbelievable when I have finished a session of Clustertruck.

Game play
The game play of Clustertruck consists of going through different worlds, stages and completing them by getting to the goal at the end. Although this may seem easy at first it does get more and more difficult and especially if you are going for a pure run. There are over 100 levels to beat and all the achievements are pretty simple to get they just need some mastery over the trucks to get.

Mechanics
There are some cool mechanics to this game that give you an advantage of getting a better time or completing a level without abilities such as hitting a truck as an angle from behind to give you loads of air time or from the side to give you a tone of speed.

Using different abilities can help you complete a level easier or differently. There are a variety of different abilities in the game , such as a grappling hook or even a jet pack. There are many more too.

Each world has a theme and they all have similar mechanics to how the level is designed to be be completed. For example, the steampunk world has a much of moving cogs and pipes that need to be dodged and maundered properly otherwise it's try again.

I have played the game enough to tell that when you play a level it is slightly different every time as the trucks have a differ in AI every time so they act differently taking slight different paths.

Aesthetics and Animation
The Aesthetics of Clustertruck is a pretty simple solid colour, smooth textures across really simple geometry and that is all it really needs for a game like this nothing too flashy because you aren't spending too much time looking around. The same goes for the animation just simple animation for a simple game.

Environment
The environments vary from world to world but all have the same aesthetics. My favourite world so far is the last one where there is lava everywhere and you need to dodge lava and all the demonic objects around.

Storyline/Progression
The game doesn't have a storyline as such, but I want to know what is the deal with the guy at the end. The whole idea behind this game is to get to the end and beat all the levels.

Conclusion
Overall Clustertruck is a brilliant game and deserves a sequel that I would play again with more mechanics perhaps. SUPER TRUCK...

Introduction
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is an okay game and the reason I say that is because that they do a lot of things great and wrong. As the game goes it took me over a year to drag myself back to play it. I am glad I did go back to it but it was a hard time trying to pull myself to play something that wasn't grasping me to. Overall I enjoyed my time playing this game and going as far to 100 percent it.

Game play
The game play of Wonderlands is very similar to any of the games in the Borderlands franchise but with some minor differences. There are no grenades but spells and the addition of the melee weapons which was a cool addition and a change of play style and skills that you play around. All the sliding and mantling from Borderlands 3 still feels great in the engine that the game is made on. Still the same old format of main quest / side quest grind with collectables in between and loading screens galore but what do you expect from a Gearbox game.

Mechanics
Gearbox fixed the loot system making legendries rare again and adding the loot luck system which gives the game a better flow of power. Spells give the game a different approach to the usual utility of a grenade with a wider aspect of buffs, damage types and play styles.

I am still not a fan of the enchantments which are just a re-skin of the anointments from Borderlands 3. Speaking of similar features the Chaos Level is a more tedious version of the mayhem levels where you have to spend hours upon hours to reach level 100. Guardian rank has been replaced with myth rank which works similar but has minor differences and all it serves as is an end game content dump for those who want to keep playing after they have done everything.

Character skills and classes are very diverse and the ability to multiclass is a very good feature and in theme for the Dungeons and Dragons. This does give the game a creative class composition where you can pick and choose what you want. The class skills in the game or for the class that I played, the Stabbomancer, felt like that there wasn't much going. The class felt slightly boring to play and if it wasn't for the fact that you could multiclass then I would have just deleted the character and started again. Attribute points where a new addition to the character's statistics these are some additional stats to boost your characters ability and creates architypes that change the way that you think about playing your character in the first place.

Opposed to the old map and fast travel the player has a map and can fast travel from there or they could wander around the map and travel to different places that way. In the overworld there are different challenges to do and collectables to get that can make you stronger such as the shrines, which offer a variety of buffs to the player. Camps and encounters are a new and unique way to utilise combat in the game and provides a different experience to bite sized content.

Aesthetics and Animation
The Aesthetics of Wonderlands is pretty much the same as Borderlands 3 where it's this cartoon like drawing with thick comic book outlines. Some differences are that there is not as much neon in this game due to the environment setting, but the colour pallet is a lot brighter to give the game the fairy tale feel to it.

The Animations are smooth, with the different types of creatures that are in the game, they all have their own physics and ragdoll pretty responsibly. The new melee weapons add a new aspect of animation for this game especially for the continuous swinging in a fluid motion. With the setting being medieval fantasy there is a lot of magic that has some really nice animations with lots of different colours and particles which makes casting spells really satisfying.

Environment
The environment of Wonderlands is good and bad in all places sometimes it feels like the environment is bare and could use some little touches but at other points it seems to be flourishing with interactable and props that really immerse the play in this medieval world. The difference zone that you go to have their own themes and they are done really well with keeping the atmosphere correct, where you have a dark evil forest there is mushrooms that look deadly and the enemies that are there are also fitting too.

Storyline/Progression
I am so sorry Tina but your story sucks... I feel that the antagonist of the game really sucks and it doesn't want me to go an progress through the game to defeat him. I think that the 4th wall breaking villain was the incorrect move. It's dungeons and dragons for crying out loud there are plenty of examples where you can create a more interesting story line and give more plot hooks to keep the player interesting. As a DM in real life, I couldn't play this game for the story anymore and looked toward the progression and game mechanics which weren't half bad.

Although the main story was terrible some of the side quests where good and made me chuckle at times but I am not paying the triple A price tag for garbage.

Progression in Wonderlands is okay, I prefer the lower level cap and the changes to how the myth rank works. There was something missing which was a new game plus or a way to reset quests for that little bit or replay ability. I guess the incentive it to create a different character to try out their skills but that shouldn't stop me from playing the game more.

Conclusion
Overall I think that this game in the franchise was an experiment at best to see what works and what doesn't as there was a lot that change, some better some worse, but I found the game fun. I think that it is worth playing only if you haven't got anything else better to play or crave a casual FPS. I do not think that it is worth the price tag that it wears and you can pick it up on sale for pretty cheap or if you don't really care about the developers you can get a key on different sites for even cheaper.

Introduction
This cute farming game comes from the old Xbox arcade indie game library and has been revamped into its on game now years later. I played this long ago when it was formerly known as Avatar Farm Online and still made by the publishers Milkstone Studios.
Game play
The game play of Farm Together consists of you, the farmer, to build and expand your farm. Harvest crops, trees, flowers and animals to earn money and resources and sell those resources to make gems to by decorations and other buildings. You can play with friends, on your own or, if you have a spare controller you can play split screen. Driving around in your tractor looking at all that you have built is an accomplishing sight. Going online to public farms is interesting to see what other people have done with the various landscapes.
Mechanics
The mechanics of the game consist of planting crops, trees, flowers waiting out their timer which can be sped up by watering them except trees and once harvested they will grant you experience, gold and resource. Gold can be used to buy more of the harvestable items. The experience goes toward your character for cosmetics, such as pets, clothes, hats, tractors and more. Harvestable items also have levels where they scale the crops value. Farm experience is used to unlock more crops that yield more experience and gold. There are seasons in the game that limit the player of planting crops and flowers, while looping the harvest for trees. There are quests that give the player more gold and experience along with medals which can be used to buy more unique buildings that can change how the game is played such as the farmhand that tends to crops automatically in a set area.
Aesthetic and Animation
The aesthetic of this games is a cute cartoon graphic that is accompanied by smooth animations with three different camera angles to play the game at. Bright colours all around no many textures but some to make the environment pop more. There is no animation for using the tractor but has a jump that indicates an action. Trees swaying in the winds of autumn and jumping to indicate a harvest gives this games the 'cutesy' charm.
Environment
The environment of this game shows large fields surrounded in stonewall with the occasional hill and elevations that allow for some diversity in the world. Small lakes and ponds are dotted around in the unlockable areas gives the world more character. Items that are left in the unlockable areas gives the feeling that the might have been things left around for the farmer to continue their journey as a farmer. Other than all this the player makes their own environment with the various selection of different decorations that are available.
Storyline/Progression
The progression of this game is quite faint. There is no apparent story to the game apart from some of the sample text from the quests. It feels like that you are getting money to get more money. You do get more decorations for your farm and different animals ect. But other than that there are a few achievements that you can go and get which gives this game a solid purpose.
Conclusion
In conclusion I feel that this game is a brilliant purchase if you are into the slow grind of getting everything to make you place something that represents you. There is a sense of fulfilment when playing this game when harvesting a large crop creeping your wealth more and more. If you are looking for a casual farming experience this game is brilliant for that especially from this Spanish studio, Milkstone Studios. From the time of writing this there as been an early access release for a sequel to this game and I look forward to playing it and seeing what it grows into.

Helldivers 2 is a great cooperative third-person shooter. You fight off in many different scenarios against the Terminids or the Automatons. With both of these different factions allows for a switch up in gameplay. The live service model that the game runs off is a good one where you have the choice to pay upfront for gear or wait and earn it. The gear that you do earn isn’t in a ‘pay-to-win’ manor, only granting small buffs that can be earnt quite quickly. The gunplay is satisfying when having the recoil marker helping you track your shots along with the availability of using first person in tactical situations.

When playing this game, it has loads of little minigames tided to objectives that make tense situations even more tense and allows for you to mess up or even die, which can be frustrating at times. But it changes the way that you assess a certain situation. The stratagems that you have are a way of calling in ordinance and supplies to help you on your mission and provide awesome features and benefits.

The customisation is limited at the moment and I’m hoping that it gets the attention later on in time. But there are a range of helmets, armours, and capes to be equipped giving some individuality. Colour pallets would work really well in a game like these giving players the ability to give their helldiver some individuality.

The progression system seems really good so far to what I have played getting to difficulty seven. Unlocking these difficulties requires the player to play through the pervious one, with each difficulty introducing a new mechanic or enemy type. When playing through these missions there are some materials that you can find which are mandatory for you to upgrade your ship. So far, I have found that you need a lot of these and it seems like a long-term system for the player to progress toward but doesn’t impact the gameplay too much.

I adore the levelling system. It feels like old-school Halo: reach with the large levelling gaps and the titles and badges that you earn. This system gives me, as a player, an experience to show off the fact that you are experienced and have earned your title.

Overall, when considering that this is a new game and that it is currently priced at £34.99, I believe that this is a great price for a game like this. It offers great replay ability and fun mechanics to play around along with the dance, dance revolution style minigames. Also, all the Joel memes are really funny. I would highly recommend you and your friends to buy this game and help spread managed democracy.

This game is really fun, going through the different levels and blasting monsters with different characters and weapons makes for diverse game play. Having achievements be tied to unlocks and abilities is nice as it gives them some purpose to collect. I have had a lot of fun playing through this game.

One issue that I have with the game is that the balancing with having multiple players in a game seems to make the game harder but there might be something I am missing.
