Just about 300 hours and still pick this up from time to time to just chill.
It's my favorite game to have running in the background while working, or watching a show, or doing any menial task like my duplicates are.

While I love this game for the game itself. Others treat the game as a job, and rightfully so, with the amount of time and energy you need to put into learning the game. It can create extremely toxic environments(even I've been a part of doing this) and lowers quality of matches.

I don't recommend picking it up unless you have the time and energy to truly learn the Meta, Mechanics, Macro-Game, and Micro-Game. Itemization, drafting and team dynamics are stupid important to keep in mind as well, and if you're hardstuck on winning MMR, losses and tilt will make you forget this and the above paragraph happens. You blame your teammates and instaqueue and repeat.

I'll still play the game myself, as I've put in the time, I understand where I peak and don't care too much for the mmr anymore, and can love the game as it is, but I can't with good conscience recommend Dota to a new player. You should take the time to think yourself on if you have enough time to stress over learning something so diverse, or if you'd rather download the game for the custom games, or just play Bioshock.

Edit: I've been playing this game since the open beta, I've played in the majority of brackets except for immortal. This is the most pandered fanbase in gaming history, and honestly, is one of the most toxic fanbases around. If you become a fan be prepared for the constant "smurf" or "booster" complaint, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about great patches, refusal to learn new meta, and Reddit post after Reddit post of Valve never doing anything right with their game. If you just play the game for the game and stay out of the community I believe you can have a good time, or only play with your friends unless you have the time to waste on climbing the ladder for a nonexistent goal.

Game is pretty great, I've played a few horror games and this game had the same feeling too it albeit your only enemy was the cold.
Would love to submit a bug report though, If you aren't paying attention on your ride back on the gondola you can phase through the back of it, and fall into a barely escapable terrain..
All in all though 9/10

Game was fun but literally all i ask of the devs is to optimize the game properly please. My specs are well above the minimum requirements but i still can only play the game at 20 fps on the lowest settings with shadows off. For a game as action packed as this is 20 fps really doesnt cut it. Other than that though was a great game

Thats my original Review. Now all i have to say is fk the devs. All they ever make is abandonware, where they have an ok idea, make it, release it, find 1 bug and completely give up on it. Don't give money to this publisher.
