Fallout 3 is a great game but it's broken on steam. So I can't, in good faith, reccomend it.

Fallout: New Vegas on the other hand works perfectly!

Genuinely great game.

I played during the free weekend, but had this game on my wishlist for ages. Not knowing what to expect when I first booted it up, but within the first hour I knew I was playing something truly unique to me. The game doesn't really hold your hand too much, and allows you to find your own way, very in keeping with the world and global narrative of Wartales. I have no idea if I've been the good-guy or the bad guy during my play-through and to be honest I'm not really sure I care. Namely because the basic principle of Wartales is just to survive in a harsh and unforgiving world.

You need to work contracts and chase bounties to earn your bread and butter, its wise to pay attention to the surroundings while your adventuring as useful resources exist which you will need to craft medicines, armour and weapon upgrades as well as track world events and beast hunts. Also in the world are travelling merchants, bandits and law enforcement (don't worry they won't hinder you or help you in combat they are only interested if you have a bounty on your head)

Your party will need to expand in order to fully utilise the world around you each party member needs to have a profession ranging from basic woodcutters and miners to scholars, bards, blacksmiths, and most other logical jobs in-between. the requirement of everyone having a role to fulfil greatly increases the importance of looking after your troops. When a party member dies, they stay dead. forever. Keep them fed, keep them armoured and keep their weapons sharp.

The recent controversy has been resolved and we can all go back to playing the game and enjoying the co-op carnage we know and love.

Hands down one of the bsst survival games I've ever played and one of my all time favourites wish I'd started playing it sooner for the epic cape

Fun game, wish my wallet allowed for VR but still fun in the traditional format.

great visuals, tense dogfights and when it all goes well you feel like a real ace!

initial release was a steaming pile of hot garbage but the game is fun now and really quite engrossing if you give it a chance.

There isn't a strong story and its very focused on the players engagement, if you just want to fly about with your mates and mine some resources you can and you wont have missed anything!

If like me however you do like to play stories you'll find the mystery and intrigue of No Man's Sky more than fulfilling. as you travel the galaxy piecing together story fragments you will find yourself in the middle of a genuinely engaging narrative.

Base building is hard when you first start pulling resources together but the game gives you ample time and freedom to play how you want. Personally I've upgraded my hauler to a glorified A-class space van and live out of that. Others have built a huge fleet and run expeditions across the vastness of space.

Play any way you like!

Really enjoyable game, weapon customisation is a lot of fun, story is meh but sufficiant enough to tie everything else together. slightly annoying default control layout but nothing you can't adapt to.

Overall 7/10 - for best results play with a friend.
