It's a qualified "yes" - the game itself is great. Very mechanically sound, the sense of speed is top-notch, the characters are fun and it has a banger of a soundtrack. But the monetization is abhorrent and actively makes the game worse. You want to race in this race? Too bad, if you don't have a level 40 Goofy you aren't doing anything. You want a level 40 Goofy? Feel free to drop $30 in the store and you might get enough shards to level him up if the RNG wills it. There's an excellent kart racer in here with some ideas that even Mario Kart could learn from but I can really only recommend it to people with a ton of patience and impulse control. Look, game development isn't cheap but there are better ways to handle it than this.

It's the best Street Fighter since SF3: Third Strike. If you like Street Fighter even a little you need it.

Honestly one of the best superhero games ever made. Yes, it's got cards, They're very good cards. You will like the cards if you give them a chance.

It's probably one of the better 3D Sonic games, which is a low bar to clear, but it has interesting ideas and zooming around the open world is fun. I wish there was less collectible busywork, though.

It's a bit/lot repetitive but the characters are good and the gameplay is pretty fun despite that. Don't go in expecting an Arkham game and don't pay full price and you'll probably have a lot of fun with it

Probably the best Smash clone/competitor out there at the moment. Fun roster, tons of personality, good gameplay. Folks will complain about the F2P elements but honestly you really can play this game for a long time without spending anything.

This is the best and most accessible KOF has been in a while. Truly a very fun game.
