as it is now the game is not fun at all. For a new player the grind is frankly absurd, even with my 802 hours in the steam version and another 1.3k hours in the WT client i have only completed 2 tech trees. Gaijin themselves seem to cater more and more to those that play late cold war to modern vehicle players while leaving the vast majority of players, those with only WW@ vehicles in the dust. The balancing is ok at best and atrocious at worst, with several vehicles removed outright simply because gaijin was too lazy to properly balance them. the game has so much potential, but corporate greed has ruined the game. If you were to jump in now you would get demolished by some person who you cant even see on the other side of the map with a vehicle he purchased with his moms credit card. And dont even get me started on the copy paste vehicles and the bushes and grind events. only pick this game up if you want to hate yopurself and want to send more money gaijins way than a gatcha game addict

overall the game is a blast, but in order to enjoy the game to the fullest you need friends. The PVE encounters are numerous and overall fun, whether its a skeleton fort or a meg you get loot from it. Then there's the drip. The amount of character customization is absurd for a pirate game, giving the player pretty much full customization of both your character and your ship, available for either IRL money or in gold acquired in game by turning in loot. There is no advantage whatsoever to spending money in game, but you can get some cool things like ship cosmetic sets, pets and emotes. Then there is the story, which is done in tall tales. Each one expands on the lore of the game, turning it from just another pirate game to an actualy enjoyable game that has boatloads of lore to dive into, both in game and through its comics. overall id give the game an 8/10
