This is a clicker. There is little strategy involved with this game. However, it is very well made having a hand-drawn type of art style. It reminds me of my younger days in primary school when I used to draw little stickman battles in my books to pass the time. I recommend this game to anyone that wants to feel a type of childhood nostalgia.

This game could've been so good. It could've gave the player a feeling of being a predator in the city jungle. Hunting it's prey down with the help of an awesome power suit that allows the wearer to move around unseen or even go into open combat to prove who can outlast the other with the help of the suits maximum armour.

But no of course not. You feel more like a little ♥♥♥♥♥ who can't take much even in maximum armour. Or feeling like the invisible predator that hunts it's prey down? No. Your stealth is so short (even with the stealth and power upgrades) you'll stealth to kill one enemy then go behind a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wall to wait for your suit to recharge and then do that over and over. But wait the stealth system is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sometimes you could be standing in front of the enemy pop in and out of cloak and they seem to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stare at you like don't exist.

What else is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ about the stealth? The silencers for the guns. Here's how the silencer works for this game. If you shoot an enemy in the head with a silenced weapon and they die? Good job the enemy will not notice that. But if you attempt to shoot but miss with a silenced weapon? SUDDENLY THE ENTIRE ENEMY FORCE KNOWS YOUR EXACT LOCATION AND FLOCK TO YOUR ASS AS IF A NEON SIGN WAS PLANTED ON TOP OF YOUR ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HEAD. Small note about the AI for this game. I think they recycled similar coding from Crysis 1 for this game as well.

Another thing that is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ about this game is that the aliens a bunch of bullet/rocket/grenade/c4-sponge ♥♥♥♥♥ that soak up all your ammo. It ends up feeling like military in Crysis 2 give their soldiers ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BB guns to fight the alien invasion. I had to use at least 5 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rockets to bring down the walker-type alien. Don't have rockets? Why don't you try walking up to it using your other explosives? Yeah you'll be ripped to shreds because your suit energy gets depleted by one of it's moves, basically rendering you dead.

Also talking about the suit. Can someone tell me why a futuristic suit designed to for any situation. Doesn't have simple functions like I don't know A FLASH LIGHT or SIMPLE NIGHT VISION. Yeah that vision used to see in the dark in the game? IT'S CALLED HEAT VISION. Why the ♥♥♥♥ am I using it to see in the dark? Also when you run it uses up the suits energy. Sure that would've been alright if my running speed wasn't so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ slow. I'm pretty sure the speed mode in Crysis 1 was at least 3 times faster than this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Speaking of energy usage. Did you know if you throw a flat pc monitor with "full force" using ALL the suits energy. It is thrown literally 2 metres away. WHAT KIND OF SUIT IS THIS? It allows me to tote a mounted machine gun around using ZERO energy but if I am to throw a small monitor 2 metres away I use ALL of the suits energy. A lot of things in this game can completely 100 to 0 your suit energy really easily. Things such as taking 1 rocket to the face but here's the catch that 1 rocket basically cuts through all your suit energy AND 99% of your health too so if an enemy just farts in my general direction I die. What else? If you want to break down a metal door = 100% energy. Even though you can clearly just break metal door bar with ease in a cutscene in right at the beginning of the game. Why can't he just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ do that to all the doors? Break door handle, open door simple ♥♥♥♥. Falling literally 8 metres with armour mode on = 100% energy. So you could imagine how long armour mode lasts in an actual fight.

When I bought the game and looked at reviews online I really had high hopes for this game. I really didn't think it had so many horrible design decisions. That really disappointed me. I really wanted to look past these points but they just broke my immersion and my mind. Like seriously I think I can throw a flat screen monitor further without the suit and the door thing? I think can get through those doors with less effort without the suit.

EDIT: Played for about an hour and the ai is still hilariously bad. Here's an easy way of fighting the human enemies. Stealth and crouch-walk around pop out of your cloak shoot a guy in the head and recloak again and the enemies around him won't start shooting the ♥♥♥♥ out area the bullet came from but they will slowly walk towards the area you're in "checking" for you. A DUDE JUST GOT HIS HEAD POPPED AND YOU'LL JUST WALK TOWARDS THE INVISIBLE THREAT?! While they're walking towards the place you just shot from just flank and do the same thing and they will start walking back. Repeat until all enemies are dead.

TL;DR Broke my immersion and expectations.

Wishing I was an eighties kid. I often go back and play classic fps titles such as The Classic Doom, Shadow Warrior Classic, Blood and Duke Nukem 3D. These games don't give me nostalgia but they make me depressed about how the fps genre has taken a turn for the worst.

This Shadow Warrior Classic Redux gives me the chance to be able experience game mechanics that were common 'back in the day'. From the fixed health system, keycard hunting, beautifully made sprites, actually challenging in a fair way (if you die it's your fault), SECRETS (I love having to discover a secret randomly as I just happen to stumble upon it) and the many effective and fun weapons at your disposal (You can carry them all at the same time! Bring this back to the modern day shooters please! XD).

So far this game has been enjoyable for the most part, The level design can sometimes be overwhelming to a newcomer to these types of games (as I was when I was first playing Doom. I had no idea where to go.) but just exploring around making sure you didn't miss a door or a keycard somewhere is not too tedious as you just need to go where there are no corpses of your enemy and then mark that place with the corpses of your enemy to know that you've been there before.

I'd recommend this game to anyone who'd want to experience games as they were way back when. If you don't like this game I guess there's too much wang for you to handle.

Played it for a bit and well the game is simply boring with no clear direction (following a dotted line is not a clear direction that's just being a horse being led around with a carrot). The gun play feels less than impactful. The visuals are just bland looking as uninspiring as a hot dog with no sauce. Voice acting is bland. The mining system is bland. To put it short this game is so bland that I have no other adjective to describe it.

tl;dr: it's bland.

If you want a shooter with 6 degrees of movement play something like Decent or the more recent Overload. Skip this trash.

Where do I start with this game? Hmmm... Lets start with how foolish I was when I first bought this game. I bought it downloaded it and neglected it. I was too brash and thought this game was a complete bust when I first played it. After 2 years while I was cleaning out my dresser/closet/cupboard I found a completely black game case... it was Darkness 2. Ok then I found another completely black case it was Monaco. The game I bought 2 years back and neglected. I realised just looking at my gametime that I didn't really experience this game and didn't give it much of a chance compared to my other games. I quickly re-downloaded Monaco and started it up. First thing I noticed, the beautiful soundtrack, I sat there listening for a while just appreciating this captivating melody. Then I actually started playing the game.

The mechanics were a little bit strange to me at first compared to games such as Hotline Miami, Hero Seige, etc. but I slowly got used to it. Instead of breaking down doors and killing everyone at once. I had to take my time planning out my way of entry and exit, which character to play as, what to do once I get in and how to get out again once the objective is complete similar to a game called Gunpoint. I felt pretty good when I was able to complete an entire level without raising any suspicion and setting off any alarms. I felt like a true sneaky and sly thief.

The games mechanics were pretty much flawless. Each character had very useful abilities. No one was useless.

Singleplayer is somewhat completable through some paitence and perseverance (Best classes are The Cleaner and The Gentleman.). There is always a way to complete a level even if things seem a little bit shaky. So it's pretty fair to new players.

In multiplayer, it is much more easier and much more crazier when someone messes up and you need to save him/her from a crazy situation (You can't ditch people and just complete the mission without them.).

Ok this game isn't perfect but it is still one of the better and balanced games out there. The AI is somewhat lacking. In zombie mode if you play The Cleaner you can just literally go around assassinate everyone as the zombies don't get knocked out but just die. The Pickpockets Monkey range is a bit weak it only steals the money in a very minute range (it is still very useful for laser rooms and well guarded areas nonetheless.). The Lookouts highlighting ability could be improved maybe revealing the guards posts and paths would be useful (She reveals guard type and the infrastructure of the map. Still very useful.). The Hacker should also have extended time for the virus' and that go around shutdown lasers and electronics. (He hacks and fast and can create virus' from the outlets. Still very useful.). The Gentlemans disguise is too limited and is broken way too easily. (He is still my favourite stealth class. He just requires a bit of skill and patience to play as.). The Redhead can charm one enemy at a time but they should add some sort of mechanic that depending on who she charms she gets some sort of ability (So adding to the fact she can use guards to open locked doors. Maybe civilians can add some sort of disguise mechanic.).

Alright I'll stop rambling and end this review. Whether people read this or not (I hope they do.). All I am getting at this review is that. You shouldn't judge something before you truly know your judgement is thorough and proven.

I am writing this review based off a 'imagine if' kind of thing. So imagine this you're alone in the nazi zombie apocalypse no one to watch your back you're down to your last magazine 5 bullets 15 nazi zeds shambling towards your position it's hopeless you're not going to have a good time. No one to say goodbye to no one to latch on to before the horde overruns your position. You're not having fun.

Now imagine you were with 3 other people your friends your comrades people who have your back. Opening fire on the zombie hordes one bullet two bullets three bullets four. Ammunition running low. Joe has one sniper rifle cartridge, Anthony has 4 shotgun shells and Griffin has 7 shots in his pistol. You? You just have two sticks of dynamite. The situation is assessed, about 25 of those nazi zeds heading your way and they're blocking your path to the supply room. You make a rough plan of how to take them out.

I'll plant the dynamite on the pathway the zeds have to take to reach us. Can't plant it too far either because Griffin will use his pistol to detonate them. Shoot the dynamite before the zeds pass them or you won't be able to hit them. Anthony will take any that come too close. Joe will take out the more tougher armoured ones. Me? I will run out there and scavenge the dead undead.

Well that's the plan but since there is no one that plays this game. This plan can never happen... Well ggwp that was a waste of time but I had fun fantasizing. ^_^

EDIT: I really want to squad up with some people and play this game so add me and hmu if you want to play this game.
