1st play through- ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this is good, we so back with DW
2nd play through- Mmm still damn good, why the female cast all down bad though

100% Achievements: Takes a lot of self control to not put my fist through my monitor.

I'd rather play Tarkov at the height of it's bs than what this has turned into.

Previous review which was a thumbs down:

This is just because the publisher Sony has made the worst decision.
Will change when Sony changes their mind on the decision.
Will refund if Sony doesn't.

This is review is just the main DLC itself done at the lowest difficulty.

Boss with the Frame Drop issue:
Apparently an issue with a boss does cause massive frame drops, I'm running on a higher end AMD setup and I had some frame drops and the maneuver can kill if you aren't ready for it.

Rest of the DLC:
I just finished going for all achievements because I do enjoy wolong and I wanted to get my little try hard ribbon on my steam for the game saying I did all the achievements. My thoughts on it is that this DLC is pretty bad.

Bad:
--Massively over tuned, I did the DLC at level 160+ even though it recommends 90-100. Bosses are dealing a lot more damage than they should and even some average enemies as well. I had to double check to make sure I wasn't on a higher difficulty.
-Big bosses, little arena. We are talking tiny, plus if it's a certain boss (or two) it'll nudge you around with one of it's attacks so you'll lose the timing for your parry.
-New mobs that are equivalent of mini bosses

Meh:
Story - Is okay, I mean it's nothing impressive but it's not super stale. Middle of the road untoasted bread
New Divine beast - is oki....kinda meh.

Good:
+Cestus - the new weapon actually feels really good to use and feels very fun.

Overall:
It's okay but needs some balance patches for enemy damage and health would advise if on sale.

---Playing on your own
--Game has been out since Dec 5th....not a single balance patch.
--Kits are overtuned and some are just straight hard counters to others.
--Servers are janky at best and give a teleporting or nudging effect and can actually cost you a kill or the match.
--No forced vs ai or tutorial having people learn the game so you get braindead teammates who don't know what they are doing.
-Devs pushing more on the community to teach and have "helpful tips"

=Somewhat okayish progress at unlocking a hero and free rotation lets you have a good range on them.

+Different build setups can keep you learning different setups and make something that's already broken completely overpowered.
+Can be fun with multiple people
++Frequent attempts to stop cheating even though it can be found from time to time

Overall don't recommend until a balance patch is done as of right now it's completely unplayable unless you stick to the meta of a subset of champs and build a specific way. I would rather play league of legends.

-You can't disable cross platform.
--Console players can just rely on aim assist and run full auto against you and win.
-No Hardcore playlist
-Maps are bad
-Progression is ass for weapons as you need to use specific weapons to get specific attachments
-Calling cards and emblems aren't like they used to be and you have to do coop for it.
----------As of this moment you can't prestige until season 1.....so...the thing that was always there and been a staple...you have time gated.

+It feels like a COD and gunplay is okay...that's about it.

Tried to like this game but it's just....garbage, cheaters all over the place. No proper queue system at all, drop in solo you have a chance of running into multiple two mans, playing with a friend? hope you can take on three man teams. You going in with low tier gear? well our match making says you need to be put up against this team fully geared in mid tier armor with higher tier guns. Use one of the worst shotguns in the game for this quest against other people but guess what if you don't use higher tier mods that you craft using your supplies it does nothing against the armor. Just bad, wait for a few patch cycles or just wait for it to cycle into non existence.

I am simple man, I see more achievements, I click play.

Game just broke my mouse and now it wont even work right.
Love this suboptimized virus that ruined my hardware.

==Seems like running anything besides only the game and nothing else corrupted my corsair mouse and in turn has rendered it useless. I'll update my review at some point when I get my mouse fixed and can properly play the game but this is not a great start==

So it turns out somehow the game managed to initiate angle snapping on my mouse and actually mess it up to the point where by default now it is permanently angle snapping unless I change the setting in the Corsair software, so thanks for that first of all.

Second arbitrary security in the game, if you mess up and don't realize you have to import your character from the character creator (if you made one there) into the actual files and folders in the game cause there is no easy import feature guess what you have to put in an order for your character to be deleted which doesn't take effect til maintenance.

On top of that if you have 3 characters ANYWHERE and your friends setup on a different ship than you, you can't setup a character there til either those other characters are deleted or unless you shell out 5$ for a character slot. BUT If you didn't for whatever reason give Sega any money in pso2 on steam before this then your first purchase is delayed for 24-48 hours, so your day 1 experience with friends is put off by a few days so you'll be lvl1 by the time they are 15. The most ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of systems and a true rival to Gameforge for the most money grubbing ♥♥♥♥ ever.

I'm still playing because the game itself is pretty and the combat feels nice but this is far than the smoothest launch and in truth should wait a few MONTHS for things to get ironed out with this version before jumping in.

After some more time playing in the game I can say that the combat is a very strong aspect on it and it feels pretty decent at least for melee. Things feel smooth and it makes me excited to see more of the original pso2 classes appear in NG.

But it's not just a good thing there was more bad things I found. Currently (6/12/21) There is an immense amount of lag that happens when you have numerous enemies and players in one area. To the point where you are playing a powerpoint presentation. They say they are looking into it to get that fixed but for an MMO without a smooth network flow that makes the MMO feel and be able to play as an MMO it's rough. I can't imagine how it feels in a party when you are constantly pushing those limits.

I still cannot recommend the game at it's current state, or if you really want a sci-fi mmo then go for it but do not expect a well polished ...or mmo experience.
