An exquisite start for a new entry in the admittedly overfull roguelite-action genre.

The gameplay is snappy and simple enough to feel outright arcadey, a lot of pick-up-and-play energy.
To illustrate that point, it's the sort of game you might boot up and play a game or two in under an hour, a quick dose of fun when you want it most.

I think Vellum has a nice future ahead of it so long as development advances, and is deserving of greater attention, even as-is.
If they offered one of those old school "4 for the price of 3,) Friends packs to help spread the game around, that might be great.
We'll see what the future brings, for the time being I give this one a strong recommend, a lot of fun for the price, if limited in content in its current state.
