- There is no Artificial Sky -

The intro is ridiculously hard, but once you get your controls assimilated, you can become a killer.
Don't underestimate the power of your melee attacks (you can do 2 consecutive hits), it is the key to win boss fights on early stage.

I only played 8 hours atm, and I feel like I'm about to enjoy more of this.
The way this game is unfolding [[strike]after the absurd intro[/strike]] shows a light difficulty, if you do all the Training Courses, as they reward you with some mech parts and weapons.

Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon has somehow a different balance / gameplay from the old ones.
I remember Armored Core 3 on Playstation 2, when the controler could go really busy with commands, especially when moving / dodging while trying to aim / lock and attack. The mech building part was a little bit more complex too.

Now it's simplified, and the mouse + keyboard control fits pretty well the game.
I can go really agressive without losing accuracy, and that's quite refreshing.
My only regret is the loss of the Cockpit View in this ACVIFoR.

This game can be found at a good price of 45.69€ with the current Instant Gaming deal.

Had fun around it. Worth the current price.
The game has some unexpected secrets to unlock.

The second DLC 'Tides of the Foscari' is pretty good though.

This is the kind of game which is disturbing to me.
I don't know if I hate to love it, or love to hate it.

// Pros:
- Great Soundtrack. I immediately have been hooked by its quality, somehow reminiscent of Heroes of Might & Magic III Soundtrack, and other old games we could name around. I won't go specific on each track, but if you're keen on them, you might have your own ideas.
- I like The Beyond theme.
- Nice Arts and Characters. Heroes and Enemies are cute, and you may appreciate them more if you like distorted naive cartoons.

// Cons:
- The game can go ridiculously hard and unfair if you don't pay attention to details, from the beginning to the very end. It's really unforgiving, and any wrong choice might cost your victory to the final trial. It could had been a Pro if it wasn't that unfair.
- Going more specific about the gameplay, the enemies have some kind of regular pattern and are quite predictable, but your mechanic is based on the randomness of the Deck Building. You might be able to overpower some fights, but most of time, you get overwhelmed by the constant Enemy damage output going heavy.
- About the Deck Building, the randomness is also occuring during your pick opportunities, not only during your draw while fighting. You may start to follow a type of build during the first Act, but it's not guaranteed to reach your perfect idea through the second and the last Acts. Having an incomplete build will crush you against the Final Boss.
- I hate Deca and Donu.

I could give a longer talk about this game, but I need to unlock all the contents that are still remaining.
You unlock contents through your runs, winning or losing them.

Each Hero has 5 ranks to unlock, giving more choices for cards and relics on your next runs.
It takes hours to get them, and at the moment where I did this review - played 25 hours, I managed to fully unlock contents for the first Hero, The Ironclad.
