The campaign itself is quite good (although I haven't played any other Black Ops games); I can appreciate the effort, the visual design, the actors and the dynamic gameplay, with several missions playable in good ol' stealth (the one where you can kill absolutely everyone and no one cares as long as they don't see you do it). The launcher continues to be a pain; the multiplayer I had no interest in. Probably not worth a buy just for the campaign, unless at a discount.
Judging by the fact that only 1% of players have campaign achievements, probably the negative reviews are largely about multiplayer.

Seems inspired by NFS UG2, but has no soul

Solid VR survival title, with a respectable campaign that gradually unveils mechanics rather than throwing you into the deep end of the pool. Pacing is all right, if it feels off in the beginning (too fast, too slow, some game mechanic is annoying) just stick with it for a bit. There's a lot of explore, discover, build, repeat. Graphics are really pretty and will likely make your PC struggle at the highest settings.
Only con, like others have mentioned, wish it had co-op, even just in the open play.
