Ergänzung 22.02.2022: Zusätzliche Spielzeit seit dem Review: 59h. Großteil der Spielzeit: Login-Simulator. Die große Kunst besteht darin, die Queue so zu timen, dass a) man eingeloggt ist, wenn man spielen will und b) allerdings nicht länger als 30 Minuten afk eingeloggt ist, da man sonst wieder vom Server fliegt.

Am Wochenende um 18 Uhr connecten, drei Stunden etwas Essen gehen und um 21 Uhr immer noch in der Queue hängen: Läuft.

Seit über 15 Jahren sind Serverprobleme bei Launches bekannt. Seit 15 Jahren interessiert sich augenscheinlich niemand dafür: "Das spart Kosten, ein paar Leute werden sich beschweren, und am Ende spielen doch alle." Von dem her ist auch das hier ein Schrei ins Nichts.

Nice teamplay (possible & required), different classes and skill sets. If you like similar custom games for Starcraft 2 this one might be for you.

For the impatient: It's the better Diablo 3.

I tried different ARPGs in the past, ranging from Titan Quest to the Torchlight series, Path of Exile, Van Helsing series and the like. For me, Grim Dawn is an exception, since it's got an diablo-2-esque feeling. Very smooth gameplay and progression, dark and mature setting and awesome class combinations.

From my point of view the balance in higher levels isn't given by now. Being two- or threeshotted by normal mobs as melee isn't fun, enemy debuffs are extremly strong and rip your HP apart. Might be that I lack gear, but the burst is sometimes so overwhelming that you cannot counter it by usings skills/pots. Aside from this, which can be compensated through movement and CC to a certain degree, I am fully satisfied with the game. Faction system is great, weapon improvements are awesome and additional skills acquired this way open whole new ways of gameplay.
