This is my favorite early EO, and it's back, faithfully adapted. An exceptional place to start if you're not familiar with the series.

This is a game about exploration and finding your way through places you don't know. It is also a game where the story is mostly what you make of it. You can immerse yourself in the challenge or lose yourself in your imagination - it's all up to you.

But whatever you do, do not be fooled.

The ""Expert"" difficulty is in fact the ONLY difficulty in the base game. Both "Picnic" and "Normal" are easy modes added for this re-release. If you want to experience it how it was intended, play on that difficulty. Normal nerfs the game for sure, but not by too huge an amount, so it's... okay, but "picnic" is kind of pathetic and will, in my opinion, ruin the experience. It's hard to take the game seriously with how it will tell you things are threats if you are dealing literally 5x damage and taking 1/10th damage.

Okay a lot of my playtime has been sleeping, but I'm a huge fan of this game, especially the Touhou mod of it. If you want touhou grand strategy, this is the place.

One of my favorite dungeon crawlers, though I'm terrible at them. I've never beaten the game, but I hope to someday. I normally prefer non-randomly generated ones like Etrian Odyssey, but even if you're mostly a fan of those, I'm sure you'll find lots to love here.
