I originally had a positive and optimistic review, but after further play I've changed it to negative. I've completely had it with this game. The ships aren't held together consistently whatsoever. You will end up with floating parts. Ship hulls held in place by pieces that aren't even touching. I have screenshots to prove it.

See my thread: https://steamproxy.com/app/2201940/discussions/0/7130962317393595414/

Go play Hardspace: Shipbreaker instead. This game is an exercise in frustration.

Hey, I'm sorry that physics problems have changed your opinion of the game. We want to make the game as enjoyable to play as possible but sometimes problems happen. We are currently working on new content and a lot of fixes. We plan to upload an update more often.
I see your opinion here and in the thread you posted. I would appreciate it if you would like to share ideas (if you have any) that would make you come back to the game. Write to me on dc if you want, I am available on our discord :)

There are few games in this genre, and while Hardspace may be a better game, if you've gotten burned out on that one, then this one is still worthy of eating up a few hours.

> If you liked Hardspace: Shipbreaker, you'll definitely like this game!

No idea why you can like this one if you like Hardspace: Shipbreaker. Literally every part is worse here. Well, maybe except the time pressure, but if I remember correctly it was possible to turn it off in Hardspace, so that is hardly a good point. Ships are less interesting, there is no challenge in disassembling them, nothing anywhere close to depressurizing or removing the core. There is no story, you are not fighting a big soulless corporation, there is no characters, there is almost no progression to feel and almost zero goals overall. Not to mention how simple and unfulfilling is to disassemble ships here when all you do is making connected parts non connected by changing colors of the connectors from something to grey shade.

But yes, Hardspace is probably a little better of a game overall.

After a bit more playtime, I admit this game has some flaws. The sound design and music are awful, I just play muted with my own music now. But my biggest gripe (and I've made a Discussion thread addressing this) is that the ships don't seem to be held together in a logical way. And the physics are half-assed. Pieces that should be allowed to fall, don't. Sometimes the beams- the ones held together by grindable spots- seem connected to something else, but sometimes they just fall when you remove both panels connected to them. It's not consistent, and not logical. The rivets/weld spots that you hammer out don't connect to anything on the other side- it's just air inbetween the panels.

My biggest argument for it being better is that it has WAY more ships, 3 ways things are held together vs Hardspace's 2, and the performance is buttery smooth, though I have a much better computer now than when I last placed Hardspace.

Dude you cannot possibly think a Simulator game is better then Shipbreaker.

The production quality and design is far better in Hardspace. This game, while fun, has a few hours of fun and comes across like an asset flip, even if it's not.
