EDIT: Lilith have performed an investigation and found that the translation used in this demo did indeed plagiarize the fan translation and have apologized to them. They have promised to remove the current translation and update it. It will take time for them to correct, but they seem like they want to make things right. I'm happy Lilith is taking this seriously and I'm looking forward to the updated translation! For now, I will leave this review and will update it when the updated translation comes out.

Original review:
This Taimanin Yukikaze release steals a fan translation and they didn't even bother to proofread spelling mistakes before flipping it onto Steam.
Ironic that the company that sent a Cease and Desist letter to fan translators would then rely upon fans' work to make a pitiful attempt to grab a foothold the English market. Lilith wants to have their cake and eat it too. There are plenty of shameless money grubbing attempts when it comes to visual novel releases on Steam, but the full release of Taimanin Yukikaze is shaping up to be the worst one yet.

The developers handling the PC port have stuck with the game and hammered out the problems many users were having upon the game's release. The game had major performance problems before, but it now runs smoothly and the new graphical settings no longer bog down performance. The game runs great.

An impressive port for a 13 year old game. Mouse control works fine, but I think some usability hiccups make a standard controller the preferred option.

Blood is a great game. This release, however, is not. Even for $5 this DOSBOX rerelease just isn't worth it. You have to do a lot of tweaking on your own just to get mouselook working properly, and then there are still problems with framerate, music, other controls, resolution, and the steam overlay. Everything is a hassle and it reeks of cashgrabbing and laziness.
