Early Access Review
While a little rough around the edges, there is a ton of micromanaging (in a good way for a tycoon game) to keep you busy and it gives it that "one more turn" feeling. Before you know it, you've spent a few hours engineering parts for a specific tank build, taking those parts and piecing them together with the tank design, and then building it to meet the contracts. But don't forget about the resources needed to build them and also giving your self enough time in the contract to ship the tanks to the country. This game really requires quite a bit of time management, meaning you need to do the math on all the time aspects from building, buying resources (if you need some), to delivery, keeping in mind you might have delays along the way!

After all that, you get to see how well your tank performed in the field. I'm not sure how the game processes tank success vs other tanks/ infantry, but it's cool to see the breakdown of where the tank failed/ succeeded.

The research tree takes a bit of time, as does all the design work and I would only play on x5/ x10 speed. Do yourself a favor and turn off half the notifications so time passes faster! But after you do those changes, the game moves along at a decent clip.

Another cool aspect that is similar to research in getting you new parts to mess around with, is the Trophy/ Rival Tank acquisition. Here you can buy rival tanks for their components and tank bodies to add further variability in tank design.

The only thing I've disliked about the game so far is that it takes forever to get additional lines, and this isn't really mentioned in the tutorial. So in the first Era/ Tier (seems like these terms are used interchangeably), you only get one line per building, meaning you can only build one tank at a time, design one tank at a time, engineer one component at a time, reverse engineer one component at a time, research one thing at a time, get resources from one continent, and utilize one shipping company. This can be frustrating, especially in the first era, but I understand the need to slow the pace, just wish you could do something aside from tying it to the Era/ Tier.
