By day I'm an internet marketing consultant for accounting firms.

By night I game.

I'm old and happily married and don't particularly care to socailize with kids (which at my age is pretty much anyone under 30).

My favorite game is Neverwinter Nights (NWN). I like NWN2, but my favorite game by far is the original game from 2002. I build my own modules and DM regularly.

Other favorites include Baldur's Gate (I & II), The Silent Hill games (especially 2), and Fallout; all RPGs.

I love old strategy games. Back in the old days some of the best video games ever made for the super nintendo: Liberty or death, PTO2, Nobunaga's Ambition, Romance of the Three Kingdoms... Koei was my favorite dev back then. I loved Uncharted Waters (I & II) and Aerobiz 2. I also loved Sim's (Sim City, Sim Earth, Cim Ant) and Civilization.

Speaking of Sid Myer, if you havn't played Gettysburg/Antitem you're seriously missing out.

I have played and enjoyed a few shooters since brief love affairs with GoldenEye and Turok in my youth.

Elite Force and Elite Force II rocked, but I can't be objective about these games because I'm a huge Trekkie. I also loved Bridge Commander, although it could have been SO much better if it wasn't so linear.

As for driving games my favorite was an old Gran Prix simulator, but I have a hell of a Gran Turismo 2 card for the Playstation.

I have all the GTA games except V, which won't run on my rig.

I'm not a big fan of flight sims although I enjoy arcade style fighter games like Tie Fighter and Rebel Alliance, and I do have some fond memories of landing F-18's in wire mesh back in the DOS days.

I'm also not a fan of MMO's, although I still have my old Ultima Online account. It's time to let that go, I think. I play Runescape from time to time, and I have a few ledgendary characters on the UO Excelsior server.
