Ok so you have no idea where to go, what to do and what's your purpose, at all (and this is a P&C adventure game we're talking about). Also, perma-death. Nope.

Early Access Review
Should have been removed from Steam ages ago (abandoned; 8 years in early access lol). Half of the stuff in-game has words written over it "under construction". What a joke.

This game is ok - but just ok. It has a great concept for those who like political/dystopian/investigative games, like myself. Nonetheless, the game falls rather short considering there really are no choices you can make (technically, there are, but these choices just mean the game is over before its real ending). I value choices in these types of games more than anything, however the developers really had just one type of character in mind; you can't be completely devoted to the Department, and you can't be a rebel either. Also, although day-to-day duties are interesting at first, later they become really boring, except for few meaningful investigations, so the developers could have made the game shorter without sacrificing anything, really. Still recommended for people who like these types of games, just don't expect too much.

The game design is amazing, the in-game world is really beautiful, full of details and easter-eggs. The story (or more like, lore of the city) is so much more than I expected from a game where you play as a cat. The "being a cat" part is done perfectly, from sound to movement, to sleeping, to just idling. Highly recommended.

Less grindy than the first one, there are some nice improvements compared to the first game, such as your employees having personalities and skills. Both make management and responding to calls much more difficult but also more interesting. There's still some stuff I didn't really like - the assaults… They're not particularly difficult - just go stealth and negotiation - but once you figure that out they become pretty repetitive. In any case, the story is so well written that I didn't care much about the drawbacks. Yet again I thought I will hate Jack but somehow they managed to make others so realistically annoying and shortsighted that I can't help but admire Jack despite all the terrible things he does/did.

Too much running around for my taste and I didn't care much about the cafe element of the game but:
1) there are tiny, normal-sized, and GIGANTIC cats
2) you can hold a cat, pet a cat, have it hang around in your cafe, ride a cat and last but not least - put a cat on your head
3) there is a city run by cats, including corpo-cats wearing ties
Some of the above is also true for other animals. Highly recommended.

Oh this game is excellent! Since I already saw people comparing it to Orwell, I might as well, since it borrows some of the gameplay mechanics from it. Except it does it so much better and overall is a much better game. You actually control your choices here and although the story ends kinda the same regardless, you really have impact on the details (like, who dies and who doesn't). All the characters are likeable (unlike Orwell, lol) or at least understandable in their motivations. In fact, they're quite complex for this type of game, so you actually care about what's going on in the story and the investigations. The mechanics might seem a bit tedious but honestly they didn't bore me on the first playthrough. The game is also really beautiful visually and has a great soundtrack.
Highly recommended for anyone who's into detective-type adventure games.

This game is AMAZING. When I picked it up, I barely slept to beat every scenario there is, and it immediately landed on my shelf of all-time favorite games together with This War of Mine. More than 100 hours in, I dropped it so I can come back sometime later to beat harder difficulties and undoubtedly feel desperate about everyone dying. Yet again 11 bit studios made a game of a so-popular survival genre and gave it such an angle that you really care about what you are doing and what are the consequences of your actions. I cannot praise 11 bit studios enough, it's a marvel.

It's very different from the first game. The idea of seeing the Ministry and bureaucracy from the inside is great but some things could have been executed better.

The good - the characters, the variety of ways to achieve goals, the endings, the continuance from the previous game storywise, the humor.
The "meh" - resources work in a completely different way and as there is no time limit on the tasks, essentially you can get any amount of resources you need to do anything - and I'd say it's a drawback, as I personally consider it a must for such games to be stressful to some extent, especially when in the first game there was ALWAYS lack of resources. "Work" minigames were super tedious, I kind of thought it was a good idea to make them like that - just like the job itself would be, tedious and pointless. Seeing as there are achievements that need grinding those tasks, it would have been great if there were less animation when doing them as it was a waste of time.
The bad - nothing really bothered me as much as the lack of fast-travel home. Just like with minigames' animation, it would have saved much time.

The good: the puzzles are quite interesting and not too monotonous. The story, however loosely based on the book, is OK.

The bad: this game did not stand the test of time at all - the visuals lack details required for HOGs, especially when you need to find miniscule items. The lack of options to change resolution is also a huge drawback (my eyes hurt, thank you very much).

There are simply better HOGs out there.
