Activision Dev's I sincerely hope that you have just as frustrating a time playing your stupid game as I do. Your dumb-ass application bugged out and crashed while I was in queue for a ranked match, now I am banned and lost rank. Thanks for making by and far the worst game of the decade.

Bought this the day it dropped and played with two of my buddies, and had a blast! Definitely worth checking out.


First and foremost the game is visually stunning, everything from the vegetation to the rubble on the side of the road is HD textured which makes for an immersive environment.

Secondly, the UI is incredibly straight-forward, making it easy to navigate, which is nice, a lot of games are overly complex and you have to spend 20 minutes studying your key-binds in the settings, not Gray Zone though. Also, the map system has it's perks, this game has been compared a lot to Tarkov, and where Gray Zone differs, it adds huge quality of life perks i.e Opening your map you can see locations you've discovered and the location of players in your faction, also everything is server based, meaning you interact with your locker, inventory, and vendors all on the server as opposed to in-menu.

Thirdly, the mechanics are super immersive as well as visually & audibly perfected, the little details really set this game apart, i.e Running in water, you'll lift your gun over your head, running through a field the brush will fall at your feet and move in conjunction with you, eating an MRE has never been depicted so accurately.
The animations and combat are diverse, visually impressive, and further immerse you in the role as a PMC.

Lastly, it's abundantly apparent that the Dev Team is actually taking in, responding, and implementing community feed-back. The first Hot Fix went live last night, improving optimization and fixing bugs on day 1. If that is any indication of the relationship between players and devs for this game, we have a lot to be excited for, there is a ton of potential here for something amazing, and I am excited to see where the game goes.


There is a lot this game can achieve, and I want to experience that, thus I am taking the time to write this review and submit my feedback.

One thing that a lot of people complained about is the AI, and admittedly, it is very inconsistent, I would like to see work put into the PvE aspect, as that is a major selling point of the game, and fundamental aspect of the core game-play, I've noticed that the health of AI can vary pretty drastically, sometimes an enemy grunt will tank 12 5.56 shots, or 12 stab wounds, and turn around and blast you away, other times the amount of shots or sashes feels very appropriate and realistic. The AI's responses to their environment could use improvement, I'd like to see more coordination among them, I feel like half-life 2 did this very well, and there is no reason for a game of this caliber to not be able to achieve synergy among their AI.

Another issue I foresee is a paywall, after doing 6 tasks, I am at my max capacity for storage due to the rewards, if it doesn't already exist, I'd like to see a way in-game to upgrade your personal locker as you progress utilizing the in-game currency.

Finally, and most importantly, optimization, I've seen a lot of complaints about this and before I say anything, it's not as bad as people make it out to be. A little humility goes a long way. Me personally, I'm running a GTX 3060, above the minimum, below the recommended. Before the first hot-fix, (they implemented some auto-detection features that will set certain settings like FSR for GPUs that can't support DLSS) I just used the default settings and experienced an average 33fps, after looking around the devs actually posted a guide that was super helpful. Following this I've experienced a much more playable average 67fps.
Optimization will open the door for a lot of players to fully experience this game and enjoy it, and the developers seem to be very aware of the necessity of this and are likely already working to implement something soon, so I'd recommend a little humility about the capacity of your rig, follow the dev's recommendations in the guide, and you'll likely have a lot of fun.

maps are just awful, too over saturated, too big, 5 minutes of running around, kill one guy, get smoked from somewhere else, this game isnt the run and gun fps it once was. UI is equally terrible, progression system is just as goofy as mw2, i regret buying this. can we just see a throwback to the way the old call of duties were, bo2, the original modern warfare trilogy, etc. ? remaster the original games and call it good man, you had a working formula and ruined it. don't even get me started on the microtransactions. one positive note, i do like the movement, still prefer the simplicity of older titles though.

Playing this game is such a relaxing way to pass time, I always have a pleasant experience when I hop on! I'm a huge fan and absolutely love everything this amazing game has to offer, props to the dev team facepunch. And before you ask, no I didn't rage-hack, I'm being set up by barrack obama. It's a conspiracy. Plz give me my account back I am such a ♥♥♥♥♥ for CBT i yearn for the pains of spending 12 hours grinding so I can get gangbanged by a 12 man. Really gets the heart-pumping zoo-wee-mama.

Certainly a good game, I really enjoy games that provide a cinematic experience like this, the executions are really cool, and the combat can be pretty rewarding once you get good at it. The animations stutter at times which is somewhat annoying. My main qualms with this game are the score, really underused, there are a lot of times where you're just fighting for 30 minutes with lame ambiance in the background instead of an epic track. The dialogue is pretty weak, some of the stuff that is supposed to be powerful is just straight cheesy. As far as game-play, the only issues I had was the points where you take command over the troops and support them with the 'Scorpio' those parts are really monotonous and have little to offer. Certainly could've gone without them and would have preferred a cool cinematic in their place. The story-line is pretty cool, pacing is a bit off, you're introduced to your family and they die literally five minutes later, so there is no real feeling of loss when they go, would've been better to flesh the characters out a little bit and develop them before killing them. Not to say we need boring side quests where you go pick up groceries for your mother, but it feels like its just missing something. Overall I highly recommend you play this game, it offers a very unique gaming experience that I haven't seen before, would like to see more games developed like this. I score it an 8/10.

The UI needs substantial work, but the concept is a lot of fun and the community is really cool.

Really fun game, highly recommend it, great for roleplaying and playing seriously. Runs well on my crappy computer so that says something!
