Coming back after playing Yakuza 0-8, Gaiden, and Judgment, this is still probably my favorite game in the Like a Dragon franchise. Kamurocho and Sotenbori are packed with enjoyable content, and the intertwining story with Kiryu and Majima is wonderful, even if they don't meet until sometime after the story of this game concludes. Even if you play this game as a standalone experience, you will most likely be satisfied as both stories in this game are engaging while also showing the extravagance of the economic bubble in 1980s Japan in both Tokyo and Osaka. I laughed; I cried; I was totally invested in the story going forward. Even though I played Kiwami first, I recommend playing this game before Kiwami and continuing in the chronological order available on modern systems. 10/10 breaking the world kowase (kirisake tenderness)

I do want to say that this game (in the PC version) requires you to be online at all times. That aside, I have had over 100 hours of fun in this game, and I definitely think I will keep playing for quite a while. As far as Beatmania-style games go, this is quite polished, and the DLC adds a lot to the game.
