this is pretty much a must-have if you own a pc. i see a lot of virtue signaling in the reviews about "too much sexual content and hentai". there are filters for that and they work fine. really, i'm just reviewing this to flex the fact that i'm in the top 1% of wallpaper engine gamers who fully beat the game

i buy dis game to be gamer. i beat it to be gamer. i am 100% gamer. then i find grill friend. true gamer have no grill friend. i spell grill friend name on profile with achievement. i am 0% gamer. grill friend see my profile. grill friend say "so cute"and buy game too. she beat it in 2.8. i win, therefore i must be gamer. she mad. she leave me. i am 100% gamer. circle of life.

This game is my childhood brought back to life! The feeling of getting to play my favorite game of all time, but with modernized controls, is incredible. Everywhere I go is recognizable, and it truly feels like they fully paid their respects to the original. There are a few intentional surprises and changes along the way but it's all handled so well.

I only have 2 issues with this masterpiece of a game:

1. The shooting range and charm system. It wasn't easy getting all of the tokens at the first course and when I went to turn my tokens in for charms, I got royally cucked. I made 4 different combinations and had turned some extra silver tokens to try for a total of 7 tries. I got 3 different common charms and everything else was a duplicate. They should either make 3 gold tokens automatically give you a rare, or at the very least, make it so you can't get doubles. The charms you get are predetermined by game file, and I've had a good run playing on Hardcore so far and have no intention of starting a new game. In the grand scheme of things, it's not a big deal because the game is beatable with just a knife and no charms.
2. Ashley doesn't have a skirt and can climb down ladders on her own.

I love this game. I don't usually review games until I 100% them, but I couldn't wait this time. As an avid sale shopper on steam, I paid full price for the deluxe version with no regrets. I'd pay double if I had to. I'm going to be replaying this game over and over, even when everybody else has had enough of it and chases after the next big exciting game, or leaves me behind to go play bingo.

This is my favorite game of all time. I beat it on the Game Cube, PS2, Switch, and with the remake coming out in less than a month, I HAD to beat it one last time right here on Steam ...and I might have overdone it. I don't want to play this game ever again. Seriously. The only reason I'm going to play the remake is to get called a pervert one last time. I love this game <3

As many people have stated, the game isn't very long but it's worth the ride. I waited for it to go on sale and don't regret my purchase at all. This is actually my first game on Steam where I got 100% of the achievements and it's inspired me to go through all of my other RE games that have been collecting digital dust.
