in fallout new vegas you can:
- seduce chandler from friends and murder him in his sleep
- beat fascists to death with a sledgehammer (or your fists!)
- make that ♥♥♥♥♥ gloria eat her hair

also the leveling and perks system is really cool but unlike fallout 3 the rest of the game doesn't suck deathclaw dongs

this game makes my emotions hurt but it's sooooo gooooooood

I don't know how it would resonate with someone who isn't trans and doesn't have an awful relationship with their father, but please play this game.

also it's a lil buggy but that doesn't ruin the experience

What a disappointment.

After being pleasantly surprised by how good Far Harbor was, I thought maybe Nuka-World would be similarly underrated. This was not the case.

Nuka-World has absolutely no redeeming qualities, and it costs a whopping 20 USD, which is as much as it would cost to buy both Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 3 for less than 1/20th of the content either would provide. Even for the reduced price of $14 my money would have been better spend buying a 32 pack of actual coca-cola that I can drink. Ridiculous.

The atmosphere of nuka-world is bland. All three of the raider factions are generic. The main story forces you to be evil to enjoy it. The cutesy weapons require so much junk to maintain as to make them unusable. I wish I could kill the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying radio announcer. Once I pick up all the star cores to get that quantum power armor I'm exiting through the gift shop and never returning.

I would rather play fallout 3 than this garbage.

Despite its many shortcomings, FO4 does have a few things at which it excels: good gunplay, a large map to explore, good atmosphere, and a variety of weapons to collect and enemies to kill with them.

I purchased this DLC, admittedly for the full $25, because I wanted more of these things, and it went above and beyond what i expected in providing them. Shipwrecks, ghost towns, radioactive mist and sea monsters (though smaller than I would have liked) all make postwar Maine a great setting to spend a few days exploring. I recommend leaving your companion behind to enhance the experience.

Was it worth the full $25? Probably not. I suggest picking up New Vegas for less than half of what far harbor costs while you wait for it to go on sale. I would gladly pay 15 bucks or less for it though.

FNV: Dead Money is fantastic, but nothing like the rest of Fallout New Vegas. Vanilla FNV plays exactly the way one would expect an FPS RPG to play: focusing on how you build your character and how well you can aim a gun. Dead Money is closer to a survival horror puzzler.

Looking up what to do online makes it less enjoyable, by the way. There isn't any notable loot anyways, so the only reward is the challenge. Seriously, don't.

Can recommend if:
- you like stealth gameplay
- you like survival horror (there aren't any jumpscares, it's all in the apmosphere)
- you like problem solving and trial/error gameplay
Don't play if:
- you're playing a melee build
- you're mostly in it for the loot
- you're easily frustrated

The story may be atrocious, but the gunplay, looting and open-world exploration are all fantastic.
It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that you can't romance Nick Valentine, but he and most of the other companions are all pretty cool.

If you don't care about immersion, Bethesda physics are hilarious as usual.
