Great for multiplayer even when you can go outside and not die.

I bought this game on impulse when I got an email from Fig the day it was released. I really wanted to like this game, and it's not a bad game by any means, it just lacks meaningful depth. The advisors are pretty much useless after the first several minutes. The buildings you see on the toolbars at the bottom at the beginning of the game are what you have for the entire game. Once you get to a couple hundred residents, you've pretty much done everything there is to do in the game except keep expanding, and that gets monotonous quickly.

Also, for the love of god, fix the buildings autorotating. I rotate the building manually to place it how I want it, and then somehow by the time I place it it has rotated itself to a different angle.

There are also other bugs: sometimes when placing an item like a road, even if you have the resources to place another, the cursor reverts to normal and you have to go select it again. The game said I needed a new storehouse to store wood (despite the fact the existing storehouse had plenty of room) so I placed another one, and the forester that was auto-shut off because there was no storage room before was still off. I had to manually close the building and reopen it to get it to recognize the new storehouse. Pressing spacebar to pause brought up a Twitch box at one point, which according to the last update, Twitch integration isn't even in the game yet, so I'm still baffled at how that happened.

It's mind-boggling in some ways but it's absolutely amazing and exactly what I hoped it was. Love it.

I've loved the GemCraft series ever since I started playing it as a Flash game on the web way back when. It's only ♥♥♥♥♥♥ better. I haven't put much time in this version yet but I can already see how much more content there is, how many additional strategies that opens up ... Even the number of achievements is mind-boggling.

My only request is that they bring it to Mac. Given that this game is a couple years old now, I'm not holding my breath, but I can hope.

No problems so far, 10 hours in. I desperately miss a map of some kind and the ability to set the beam-down point on each planet. Otherwise, it's great. I'm very much looking forward to the 1.0 update, though I have been having great fun with what's there already!

Made the transition flawlessly from PS3 to PC. The controls are intuitive and seamless. This was already an amazing game and it has lost nothing. Now just bring it out for Mac! :)

The artwork, music, and Oregon Trail cues abound and make this game a fantastic retro romp.
