I have learned many things in my years as a video game critic. First is that a developer's hard work leads to masterpieces being created such as Half-life and Powerstone 2, not the publisher nor the community although they could help. And second, is that it is rare for a truly groundbreaking and impactful game to be released in the 21st century. However, I believe sex with Stalin is an exception to this. In my hours of experience with Sex with Stalin, I must say that the storytelling is absolutely remarkable. The writing is only improved upon by the line delivery of Stalin himself. It is clear to me that the director, Georgiy Kukhtenkov had a clear and precise vision of what he wanted this game to become. Mr. Kukhtenkov wanted to and did create a down-to-earth realistic simulation of Stalin and an accurate depiction of his day-to-day life. Although the story and realism of Sex with Stalin are unremarkable, Mr. Kukhtenkov does not stop there, as Sex with Stalin also has some of the most advanced graphics on the market. The effort put into the eyes of Stalin alone is incredible, It is as if Stalin can speak with his eyes. For example, during my first “encounter” with Stalin, his build displayed a strong man with little to fear, though his eyes could utter an endless bulk of words despite that only one is needed. “Passion”. Beyond the remarkable eyes of our hero, you can see the pores on his face and the individual strands of hair on his head. The calluses of his weathered hands and the strength of his mighty arms, which feel as if they could carry you to the top of Mount Olympus. The extent to which the developers have added detail to this game is sensational, when playing I feel as if Stlalin is breathing down my neck himself. Our time with Stalin may have been short although he will live with us in our hearts and this game. In short, life as a critic is simple. We are served the hard work of men better than ourselves to judge them. It is a good life, even if the work of Georgiy Kukhtenkov and other remarkable directors is buried underneath the sad excuses of video games we are left with today such as “Apex Legends” and “COD”. I eagerly await the release of the sequel to Sex with Stalin but until then. My needs shall be satisfied by Sex with Stalin’s sister game series, Sex with Hitler which similar to Sex with Stalin is another masterpiece of a video game
