A fantastic game, perfect for getting into VR.
There's only one problem: it's very short.
There are extra game modes to keep you playing after beating the main levels, but it's still too few for it's pricetag.

Wait for a discount - if you catch it 50% off, there's absolutely no reason not to buy it!

I hope some level editor, or something like that gets implemented at some point, that would boost its value.

A perfect blend of Dark Souls, Star Wars, and Prince of Persia.
Decent story, lovable characters, beautiful graphics, and reeeeally great gameplay, though maybe a little bit short.

If you like Star Wars, or Dark Souls, stop reading, and buy it right now.
If not a fan of either, it's still a must play that you should pick up, when it goes a bit cheaper.

Single player is great.
Online is even better, but you'll need some folks to play with, to make it really shine.
It can be fun alone, but for most of the fun content, you'll need at least 1 guy to play with, but preferably 2-3.

Most immersive and detailed spacesim I've played. Especially in VR.

One of the best co-op game we played with my girlfriend, which is saying a lot, as we played many.
The main campaign took us ~8 hours to beat, after which we still have a couple festive maps, and the DLC.
I think it's worth its full price, but if you catch it at any discount, do yourself a solid, and buy it in an instant.
Just keep in mind, it's local co-op only.

That said, there are two things I miss: online co-op and some map creator.
Both of these could increase the game's potential, and longevity tremendously.
Anyways, freaking great game!

After emerging from a bigass sand cloud, I found myself, as the pilot, right next to two enemy Galleons (the game's slowest, most heavily armed ship) with my squeaky little Squid (the game's fastest, most fragile ship).

With a heroic warcry joined by my whole crew, we chared the ♥♥♥♥ out of them, only to be blown into microdust within 3 seconds.

10/10, would charge again.

If you've played WoW: This is WoW on steroids (in the good sense).

If not, or you just have a thirst for reading:
Wildstar packs a hell of a great gameplay with fast-paced action, a customizable actionset that encourages experimentation, great PVE and PVP mechanics and some nice features that, while many of them are not entirely new, but their execution is so good that they bring some really nice feel to the game.

One of these that I really want to point it (because I freaking love it) is the housing system:
You get an instanced housing plot (to make it "lore friendly", they say it's a floating plot in the sky), that has some space for stock stuff like your house in the middle, and other interesting stuff you can collect in the game and build there. Beside that, you get plenty (really, a lot) of space where you can just build whatever you want.
We've built a 3 storey house with my girlfriend which we are furnishing for a while now and we just love it.

One other thing that is well worth the mention is how the in-game transactions work: if you have any thought that it's a pay-to-win game, forget it. You have access to all basic features from the start, and you can buy the rest with an in-game currency called omni-bits, that you get simply by playing. This covers stuff like more capacity to post auctions, more character slots etc.
You can buy all these with real-life money, of course, but nothing that really gives you an edge in combat over other players.
If you decide to spend real money, the game also gives you some permanent stuff that you'd have to unlock by omni-bits (like the ability to create guilds opens up permanently by just 1 time of signature payment, alongside with a lot of other stuff).

Download it, give it a shot, you really don't have anything to loose

P.S.: The overall rating of the game looks underwhelming at first, but if you look at it, most of it is just technical stuff, where people couldn't get it working on their microwave oven, or a switched off monitor. Some technical issues are sure to exist, afterall it's a vast game, but speaking for myself, I haven't encountered any (beside some minor addon bugs, which are solved by a simple command that reloads the UI), so it can't be that bad.
