Stays true to the original Evil Genius, and I suspect that it'll be much better once the expansions come.

It's true that the forces of good will beat up half your forces if you don't plan things exactly right. Making good use of your cover operation will prevent that, though.

When the forces of good refuse to be escorted out of your base and start to brutally slaughter your cowering deception minions, to then face off against your muscle minions, of which the first through the breach will almost certainly die, can be a bit disheartening, especially because ten or more bodies will make your minions reconsider employment.

I still enjoyed it very much, it can be frustrating at times, but learn and adapt your base whenever you feel it's not protecting your operations enough.
