Awesome game for "learning" guitar. Keep in mind, while Rocksmith goes through the basics of holding the guitar, pick, how to strum, etc. you'll definitely want to look to other sources if you're serious about learning the instrument.

I can say though, as someone who started never playing guitar before, that you'll at least be able to pick up new songs pretty easily after a couple months. You feel completely comfortable with the instrument, but with some basics practice, you'll get the hang of it in no time.
