CS:GO Review
There's a pretty steep learning curve here, but nothing you can't handle if you practice.

Seriously though, don't expect to kick ass immediately if you haven't spent a lot of time in the CS series. This one takes a while.

Certainly lacking in some areas, but Hawken is host to a very different kind of FPS -- one fans of Call of Duty and Battlefield will find a refreshing and challenging change.

Early Access Review
Too poorly optimized to enjoy on even the best hardware. While my GTX 760 is about half as powerful as a GTX Titan, it should be more than capable of maxing this game out. Sadly, that's not the case; it's barely playable at even 1280x1024 on mid-settings. Save your money and support better games with better priorities, like being able to play the game you paid for.

Terrible characters, awful voice acting, uninspired level settings, and an inappropriate soundtrack that doesn't match the tone of the game.

I love it, and you will, too.

Avoid this broken, ugly, unpopulated shooter like the plague that it is.

Bad AI? Check.

Ugly graphics? Check.

No multiplayer community? Check, and double check.

Mega Man X meets Strider, plus an extremely therapeutic soundtrack. It's a game for quite literally every gamer out there.

Mirror's Edge Lite meets Amnesia meets found-footage horror. Easily one of the most clever and immersive survival horror games out there (with a true emphasis on "survival").

Warframe is very much a love/hate-type game. Either you really, REALLY like it, and it absorbs you like the Blob (the 1989 remake), or you DESPISE it, and it repels you like a prenup you signed that leases the car to your spouse.

I figure I should note; Warframe is a co-op third-person space-ninja simulator that features such things as space-ninjas, space-zombies, space-guns, and space-bows. There's a lot of space in here. You'll be running on walls, sliding on your knees, and basically doing all the stuff you could do in Vanquish (without the slow-motion). It's crazy fun with a lot of friends, and the game is very focused towards co-op play with various "warframes" that give you specific abilities like impaling enemies on javelins of energy or raising the dead.

You're always encouraged to plow through the small monsters before getting to the big bosses that you'll hack apart repeatedly to get their best drops, which you'll then invest into constructing new weapons and frames. There's no real straight-upgrades for frames; it's just nice to have variety.

You'll like it if you like...

- Mass Effect 3's co-op
- Platinum Games' 2011 release, Vanquish
- Space
- Ninjas
- Space Ninjas
- Ninjas in Space
- Monster Hunter

You'll hate it if you like...

- Not having fun
- Pitying your existence
- Killing Space Ninjas
