This is a great game. If you liked any of the older Final Fantasies (I-IV), this is right up your alley.

The combat system is typical turn based JRPG. You control how you level down to each stat choice, and 8 different classes to choose from means your party has a large number of combinations to try out.

The game world is very vast and there is quite a lot to explore. It's RPGMaker, so you get what you get, but aside from those limitations,

The music is diverse and gives the game a great atmosphere as the song choice was very good for each location you visit.

There are many mini-games to play that are fun. The world is filled with 50 puzzles, some hard, some easy, all puzzling. Racing Moas (Read: Chocobos), battling monsters in the Arena, and gambling in the casino give you plent to do alongside the side quests and main story.

This game is 10 cases of epic. Yes, it's a 2D Chess game, but it's BATTLE CHESS. You literally fight each other using the chess pieces in a 1v1 combat match for each piece. This is easily one of the most fun simple games I've ever played. I paid $1 for it during the Steam Summer Sale, but I would've gladly paid up to $10 for it. That's how awesomely fun it is.

Note that I did play with my nephew locally, so it may not be as fun if you don't play with other real people.

What's there to say? It's Civ V. RTS juggernaut.

It's a great game, although there are a few flaws. Specifically, the AI is weird. It doesn't act like you'd expect. There's no way to game them or be "strategic" about it at all. You just can't piss anyone off, or you are basically on a losing battle to craft alliances. That's why I always go it solo and do my best to outgun/research everyone else. Otherwise, I don't know how to win personally, but I'm not great at RTS games anyway.

If you do get this (I do recommend it obviously), just keep the above in mind.

I bought this to play Day Z. This should be obvious. Get this game for Day Z, unless you decide to get the stand alone game. I recommend the stand alone game over this personally.

This was... an interesting thing for me. I haven't beaten this game, but I've spent 250+ hours playing it grinding, preparing for the end game.

If you like JRPGs and Dating Sims, this game is for you. The combat is repetitive, and the story is interesting, but I'm the type of person who just enjoys grinding for some reason. Not sure why.

I recommend this for anyone who enjoys JRPGs, grinding, and Dating Sims as this is a game that is fully wrapped in all 3 heavily.

If you liked Final Fantasy Tactics', Disgaea's, and any other turn based strategic JRPG, get this game. Totally worth it imo, even if the voice acting is only in Japanese, there are basically 0 cut scenes, and the gameplay can be repetitive. I still enjoyed it quite a bit (play time should say something).

I have spent a collective 500+ hours on this game alone (regardless of what Steam says), as I own it on PS3 as well. That should say something. I bought it twice. I don't regret it.

This is a hardcore, dark, enjoyable, skill-based RPG with great fun combat and interesting concepts for PvP.

I highly recommend it.

I've beaten this game and it was quite fun. As an Otaku who loves JRPG's, playing this was rather enjoyable.

The story was interesting, the music good/appropriate for what it was used for, and the gameplay was enticing for a grinder (read: perfectionist) like me.

I still need to beat the secrets, but that will take time. I really enjoyed this game and would recommend it to anyone who loves games of this genre (JRPG effectively imo).

This is a fun ARPG made as a spiritual successor to Diablo II in a sense, but with much greater vigilance.

The most important thing I feel the need to point out is that the developers for this game are wonderful people. No Pay 2 Win. Constant weekly and monthly updates. They are really trying to make something great. This is a game I'd be fine with dumping 100's of hours into (and I have already) because I have grown to trust these developers not to destroy the epic game they've been making.

This is the only ARPG I've ever played though, so take what I've said as you will, although I don't think developers being great developers has anything to do with genre.

This game is wonderful. The story is amazing. It is slow at first, but it picks up as mystery after mystery gets solved and only leads to more mysteries. The ending was what sealed the deal, and was by far one of my favorite video game endings ever.

The gameplay is repetitive, but only enough to be annoying while not enough to stop me after I got my teeth into the story. The visuals are top notch as well, and the game world is an epic alternate history of 1912 that is faithfully created in painstaking detail to be amazing.

The music only adds to this wonderful atmosphere where old songs are remade with steampunk-style flavor in great remixes that I still listen to now after beating the game.

You should play this game if you enjoy a deep story and great world made with such diligence to detail. I highly recommend it even if the gameplay is stale. Experiencing the world was worth it.

This game... is a strange one. I am a major fan of JRPG's. This game makes fun of them in a good way. The combat is ok however, and that is it's one weakness imo. However, I understand that is my fault as a gamer. I am a completionist and wish to be as strong as possible, so I grind forever each battle since the story is linear and you can't go back to train/grind.

I find the story funny and the characters add to this greatly, so I enjoy them both, and I can make it through the battles, but I just get somewhat bored with the combat for the aforementioned reason.

I do recommend this game because it is fun and worth the money imo, but it just depends what kind of gamer you are. The grinding isn't fun, but I can tell this game wasn't made for that (even if it's mocking JRPG's).
