While I love the concept and what I’ve played so far has been very fun, I can’t recommend the game in its current state. Unfortunately, it’s very buggy on release—not just in minor ways, but in serious, game-breaking ways. I’ve played for about 90 minutes and only managed one or two full runs, since I often get blocked and have to abandon them before I can finish, successfully or not.

At only five bucks, I don’t feel it’s worth refunding because I’d still like to support the developer, and continue playing in the future. That said, I’d strongly recommend waiting for some stability updates before pulling the trigger if you're on the fence about it.

Not only are the driving physics and controls air-tight, but the level design is impeccable, and the graphical presentation and soundtrack are on another level. Honestly, this is some of the most fun I've had with a game in a long time. It actually transcends a typical racer and becomes something all its own. Can't wait to continue pushing myself and my times higher and higher on the leaderboards, and I look forward to trying community made custom tracks.

The atmosphere, level design, soundtrack, and overall vibes of Automaton Lung are like nothing else. I've beaten this game twice now, once on my 3DS, and again more recently on Steam. The former caught my attention for being one of the last, if not THE last, 3DS eShop game which is very cool in itself. However, once I started playing, I was immediately blown away by how cool and unique it was and couldn't put it down. Pretty sure I no-life'd my way to a full 100% completion in one sitting with my 3DS.

The Steam port has just about everything you could ask for with tons of customization options to get it as sharp or jaggy as you might like. The developer seems like a really cool guy and offered free 3DS codes for his games right before the eShop shut down. Everyone I know who owns a 3DS will tell you that I won't stop talking about this game. If you don't have a 3DS, just get the Steam version. Even at full price it's completely worth it, despite the short completion time. It's an experience you will likely never forget.

This game is awesome. Endlessly replayable. Constantly evolving gameplay and mechanics. Nearly limitless skill ceiling and character progression. Gameplay is tight and easy to understand. You can control your level of challenge. Great music and graphics. For 12 bucks you really can't get much better bang for your buck.

Very fun game. Best played with friends. Not a Diablo clone. Classic gauntlet action. Super challenging and tense on higher difficulties. Good class synergy. Satisfying progression. Decent amount of customization with relics. Voice communication highly recommended.
