So let me start this off on the right foot.

I do not hate the game nor its graphics. Yes it is a little (a lot) rough around the edges, but basis of the game is a refreshing change from the reskins of other popular launches. You play as slaves who are trying to get to freedom via the Underground Railroad. Simple, right? This game could have perfectly linear gameplay. But it doesn't. It has little bits of personality and history, along with puzzle solving and unforgiving gameplay that help add to make this an overall enjoyable game. Is it the prettiest game on the block? No. But it fun and provides a great pick up game that I can start up when I have time to burn. And I am so pleased to hear a slave speaking proper english. Its nice for someone to take into account the other percent of slaves who could speak a proper sentence.

Overall, I like the game. I haven't played it through yet, so this review may vary, but as it stands this game is great. It has a lot of room for improvement, but for a new game like this I would be more concerned if it came out near perfect. I rate it a solid 6/10 (The mechanics and sudden loss intervals of the game are a little annoying :/)

Edit:
So after some changes were made I went back to play the game once again. Although the graphics and visuals are still a bit rough, the other aspects of the game have been great changed. The character movements have been altered and feel a bit more natural. Also the jump mechanics are now a lot more smooth. Overall the game still holds its historic charm and I'm happy that the developers are working to better their game post-release.
