There is a great joy in exploring space and finding anomalies. As your crew puts puzzle pieces together, it unlocks more of the story or side stories and it is really intriguing as you start to impact the universe.

Fantastic game with a zen like feel once you get into the middle of a level. Your upgrades all feel fun though there are some that are better than others. It took me 10 hours to get all achievements and the game keeps adding more so I look forward to my next run. This is a no brainer pick for everyone so grab it now!

Played a Demonologist who can summon his troops from the depths of hell. Had some early success, and decided I was ready for a mass summons, and they decided they didn't want to work for me (demons being fickle like that.) They killed my army and my lord and I end up losing.

Decided to run a Demonologist again swearing to take my revenge. This time I was careful and eventually summoned a great army, and eventually summoned all 7 of their greater demons. I then took over their entire dimension. That will teach them!

This game does a fantastic job immersing you in a medieval setting. Combat can be a bit difficult to master but you will find practice and training do go a long way.

It is a tough game with a good amount to unpack. I have played two scenarios so far and they are doing a good job of adding complexity with each map. There is a store available via comic books so you can determine what is going on in the game world. The art for the comics are top notch.

I have never played They Are Billions, so I have no comparisons but I really do enjoy what is here currently.

This game has come a long way since it's release on Steam and I see a good amount of potential for the game going forward. It is still buggy at times, and it can be unforgiving as well, but if you stick with it, you will find a core survival game that tackles elements I haven't seen in other games of its ilk.

Asymetric empires combined with dark fantasy setting makes this one of the most interesting Total Wars in a long time. Check it out.

What can I say? I started it and finished it in the span of one day. I couldn't stop playing until I had reached the end. Was it the best game I ever played? No. The story and nostalgia were enough however, to keep me moving through the world. The gameplay reminded me of my early days of FPS gaming, with nods to Quake, Medal of Honor, Nazi Zombies, and even Planetside. They also sprinkle in FPS versions of other classic genres. Some are hits and some are misses but they offer a nice enough variety to break up the game worlds.

Pros:

-Nostalgia. This is probably the make or break point for most people. If you are not a 90's era gamer, this will not have the same appeal.

-The early story writing is fantastic.

-LARGE variety of weapons.

-Responsive aim controls.

-Lead voice actress does a wonderful characterization with a lovely Scottish accent.

Cons:

-LARGE variety of weapons. With so many weapons, it requires cycling even using the number keys. That means getting the weapon you want or need becomes a chore. Think texting with a keypad to understand the issue.

-Story writing winds down about halfway. The humor and characterizations become a bit more predictable as we close upon the ending.

-Platforming segments lead to multiple deaths.

Tips:

-Quick save is your friend. The checkpoint system in the game is unforgiving so do yourself a favor and use that [F5] key to good effect. It even keeps a couple at a time so you have little chance of quick saving yourself into a corner.

-Health and ammo respawn so make sure you do a run to collect whenever you are faced with a sizable enemy force.

This is a fun romp in the "World of Darkness" (TM). Taking on the role of a vampire in LA and participating in combat, politics, and roleplaying, you will find yourself taking on the persona of a vampire without embarrassing yourself with involuntary sparkling or emo tendencies. There are multiple clans in the game and they approach the main story differently. Definitely a game to play multiple times through.
