One of the first VR games i'd seen and never lost hope to play it. It is everything i hoped for. Everyone deserves a chance to [JOB] at least once.

It's alright. It's basically just #include <windows.h>; Playsound();
The only differences between Soundpad and the first C++ project i ever made was: soundpad has a non-terminal GUI, soundpad has global hotkeys, and soundpad projects through your mic, instead of just through speakers.
If you just want to play music on your own headphones just use VLC and if you want to play a soundboard to play over your speakers i have a c++ build i can hook you up with for free
If you want to annoy people in SCP: Secret Laboratory, or Minecraft, or whatever else, and don't appreciate how bloaty Voicemod is, get Soundpad. There is also a non-steam version.

Permanently unfinished. It's literally one chapter. Don't buy this game, and don't worry about not having the story, this is as unconnected from the other Deus Ex games as any. You'll understand Human Revolution just fine without playing The Fall. It's a shame too, it's fun... not fun enough to be worth it, though. Only buy as part of a bundle. In fact, only when the game is on sale, AND part of a bundle.

Certified suburbian classic. Now with mod support & xtra free stuff (if you somehow hadn't bought the Episodes).
Nothing bad i can say about this game.
Favorite chapter is This Vortal Coil, love the FPS tower defense.
Worst chapter is Lowlife. It's too bad they didn't implement the Episode 2 flashlight battery for Episitle One but it is what it is (and it's probably for balancing reasons)

Entropy: Zero is... alright. I can appreciate that Entropy: Zero Two came out because of this, but i will not accept that as an explanation for why this game is good or bad.

Do be warned, this review will contain minor spoilers. I tried to not give away any major points, but i had to get specific. (there is a section with major spoilers at the end, it's marked)

TL;DR: Entropy: Zero is not great, but it's not awful. If you want a game that REALLY makes you feel like you're in the shoes of a Metrocop, try Entropy: Zero: Uprising. (yes, a fanmade mod of a fanmade mod of HL2) EZ1 feels less like that, and more like Gordon Freeman decided he wanted extra rations.
I'm going to go chapterwise, since i have wildly different opinions on each chapter.

CH.1: Interloper

Interloper is a great start to this mod, the intro raid feels good, and the train into C10 feels organic.
I would like to take a moment to question the VA for Bad Cop, as it sounds like they're trying to do an impression of the Metrocops, but without a filter, and it... doesn't work. But i'm nitpicking,
While i'm nitpicking, it is a bit strange that the rebels have a poison zombie just sitting behind a few crates...

CH.2: Dead Tenant

Dead Tenant is my favorite chapter of EZ1.
The stealth section is a little finicky but certainly unique, and the manned gun was fun too. The twist is a little confusing though. after all, the rebels knew who he was, so why did they lock him up? And why is he in C10 in the first place?

CH.3: Low

Hate. I HATE Low. Not as much as i hate Realm Grinder, but it's probably second place. It has four sections.

1: Cutscene¹
2: Lotsa Zombies
3: STUPID STALKER BABYSITTING PIECE OF
4: Cutscene²

The only good section is the first, and that's pushing it, since it could have been shortened easily.
Lotsa Zombies gives you the AR1.5 and infinite ammo. First time i played, i didn't figure i was supposed to leave the first little room, so i died a few times more than i should've.
The whispers really should have been omitted. Ravenholm worked because the atmosphere was tense, not because Freeman had schizophrenia.
The defense section was nice, the exploding wall panels keep you on your toes for where they're coming from next (we're gonna ignore the logistics of how they got in the walls)

Stalker Babysitting is an escort mission with the addition of NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE A SKIBIDI THING. If you liked Episode One's elevator holdout, you'll LOVE Low.

Cutscene² doesn't have much content, but it gives you a breather before
CH.4: Bad Cop

If all of the chapters were in a vaccum, Bad Cop would probably be my favorite.

It may just be me, but i feel this is where we totally depart from the idea of being "just another metrocop". of course, i don't think Bad Cop is a bad chapter! It's good, the variety and challenge of the combat is very nice, the bosses are fun, but it feels like we're playing as Evil Gordon Freeman, which isn't quite what i signed up for.

The CFLU

What the freak is this. Why does 36 get it suddenly in CH4? Did he get it from the body pile in Low? Why did it start showing symptoms right before 36 got the "vaccine"? Does Breadman know how vaccines work? Why does the CFLU make fast headcrabs BLACK???? Is it just me who never got another hit of symptoms? was that a later change? or maybe just weird achievement wording?

Played and platinumed on PS4 before PC, and came back to do it here.
DBH is a great game, even if it's got a very large filesize and hardware requirements.
The Connor/Markus storyline is hugely replayable and i come back over and over again for it.
Kara's story is... Fun the first few times. Luckily you can dump her a few missions in, since her line is so repetitive unless you want to do some alice-hater run
Overall make sure you have the right hardware before buying (lord knows i didn't when i first bought) and probably play with a controller (it's better)
If i were to change anything, i would probably add a mission to skip some of the more repetitive missions when you've gone through 100% of the lines (Jericho, Shades of Color, the first Kara "mission" etc.) and maybe have a slideshow/montage at the end showing how your individual choices change the future, buuut that may just be the fallout new vegas fan in me...

Good story, great visuals, bad intro. The constant cuts from hiking to text really disengaged me from either, and i wasn't super appreciative of the penis jumpscare. Great game though, and the optional achievements strike the balance between exploration and intuition very well. The map design is intuitive as well, and the hints don't feel too patronizing.

Game is unplayable vanilla. Would not recommend if you do not have the will/patience to fix most bugs and live with others.

Nightbreed's guide (https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=907929643) is a lifesaver, but the DLC are not and will never be ported to PC, and the GoTR version is not legally allowed to remake it with the real assets, so you will need to be filled in on what happened in them.

Other than the fact that it is 15 years old with no patches, it is actually very fun.
