I don't usually write reviews on games but seeing as I spent the last month or so obsessed with this game I felt I needed to explain why. I see a lot of negative reviews for Madden every year. From what I have read it seems most of the people complaining are people who like to play online or play the story modes and such that EA has put into the game in recent years. But I am here to say that for those few who are looking for a good american football sim, this is really a great and entertaining game for just that. The game out of the box is not really set up to give you realistic stats and gameplay, but with a little tweaking of sliders and settings (I found some good setups online) you can have a game that almost feels like a real NFL game.

Franchise mode is where I got most of my playing time this year, and besides a few bugs that I will explain soon it has been great. One of the worst bugs I got was playing as a QB in a franchise. I wanted to set up a role play where I would be Tom Brady’s backup QB on the bucks until I got my shot and became the starter. The problem I faced is that the game is bugged in a way where even if I set the game to not guarantee me a starting position, my character kept getting messages from the head coach about how I was losing games (I was just the holder for field goals) and I ended up getting cut from the team even though none of that was in my control. (Yes Tom Brady got me fired) Really that was the only bug I would call game breaking.

The only other bugs I have really come across have been small instances where the announcers make some strange calls.
I know I have been rambling in this review, but to sum it all up I would say this is a great purchase for someone who is looking to play an NFL franchise through the years. And it is a very rewarding experience when you can get your sliders and setting just right to make the stats and game play realistic.

The game has a lot of great tools available that I feel a big majority of the people who play madden just don’t know are there. This is a great game for football nerds like me that love the idea of getting into the role play aspect and not so much the competitive aspect of madden.

Having played World of Warcraft on and off for the better part of a decade, I can say that this game (even with its similarities) is a refreshing change to the fast paced job that wow seems to have become.

Final Fantasy XIV has a very epic and engaging story, not often seen in MMORPGs. Cross class ability's, plenty of professions and tons of dungeons to explore with friends or with the very helpful duty finder. You also have the ability to play all classes and jobs with one toon, making your avatar feel more personal than ever.
The community here is amazing and full of wonderful and helpful people. Oh and End Game is great too. There are a ton of lvl 50 8 player "full party" instances and 24 player raids to keep you busy. That is untill the first expantion comes out in a few months.

Buying Final Fantasy XIV will also come with 30 days free so for $20 its worth giving it a shot, if anything just for the story!
