Actually upon review this game is still absolutely unplayable at higher levels of difficulty. It's just random-ass scaling that requires you to do rerolls constantly until you get a playable combination of kings and starting hand cards. Absolutely DO NOT pay money for this game.

This game is beautiful, and has some really good ideas. But I cannot recommend it because it's just not fun. The gameplay is repetitive and boring. It's "hard" but not in a way that feels challenging. Simply because the devs made the damage ratios way out of wack. I am fine with playing hard games that show you it's your own error that caused your downfall, making you want to jump right back in and try again (Hades, Dark Souls, Darkest Dungeon...all faves). But every run of this game is just mind-numbing boredom, that if you fail makes you want to NOT play again. Ever.

This game is fine. It's POE 2. It's what you'd expect. However I have now lost boss gear drops twice to the fact that my DOTs killed the boss seconds after it killed me. Talk about negative play experience. Half the reason to play a Diablo-clone ARPG is for the loot drops. It's absolutely ridiculous that they wouldn't persist after death in this case. The stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stat increase item persists, but the other gear does not. Fix your ♥♥♥♥.

Fired this up, and within 7 min it crashed. No save, no nothing. Don't waste your time. I get that it's early access but I expect at least minimum stability.

I was curious to try out the new "Adventure Mode" (read: STS roguelike mode) so I came back to this game after a long absence. Although the gameplay itself has been much improved, the translation and the truly mind-numbing currency grinding to acquire characters, minions, etc is worse than ever. The devs seem to think they are Riot...they are not. This model is never going to be successful for them on a level that makes the end product better than any number of other half-finished doujin games. Steer clear of it for the most part, though playing like one or two games a week with the free content might tickle your Touhou fancy...you do you.

It's early access release day and I have already played nearly 4 hours...on top of the many many hours I previously played of the more limited itch.io release. Much of that time has been spent organizing my tiny backpack. Can't get enough. This game hits my brain just right, though your mileage may vary.

This has the makings of a great, fun little game. There's a ton of variety to the characters, weapons and upgrades. It's at least a bit challenging as opposed to other prominent games in the genre. However I cannot in good conscience recommend this game due to one factor...the hitboxes are absolutely ridiculous. They're all over the place. Sometimes your character sprite will casually graze enemies no problem, basically what I'd expect from a shooter like this. However, other times you'll be visibly several pixels away from an enemy and you'll suddenly be hit by them. I understand you're supposed to die in roguelikes, believe me I love the genre for it's spamability and replayability. But the hit detection/collision or whatever you want to call it makes this game feel not so much hard as unfair, like there was nothing you could have done because comparing one situation where you died to another doesn't produce the same results. That's just bad coding.

Unplayable. Spent nearly 30 minutes trying to tweak the bizzare mouse settings in this game to get it anywhere near playable (or similar to Dishonored) and just gave up. Camera is jerky. Mouse sensitivity is too high on even the lowest setting. Camera lags FAR behind mouse movement. Would recommend another few playthroughs of the first one instead of dropping 60 bucks on this turd.
