This I will not consider Torchlight. Might have the name, but a lazy mobile port does not deserve it. Let's go over my first issues. When porting a game to PC, you have to conform to PC standards. an example of this would be menu design and navigation. I want to click on the character to start a conversation. Because it is made for mobile you have to go to the character and click a button that pops up at the middle bottom of your screen. Equipping items is another bad example of the port. Let me click and drag the item into the equip slot, I know right clicking is technically easier but that is not the point, It's the feeling of it. I want to be free to do either yet you lock it to one method. This is the beauty of PC gaming, we have options, meanwhile when on mobile you simply do not. If you port the game, make sure to open up those options, put some love into it. The menus are god awful. Just so much stuff jumbled up. Another definite issue with the game is upon opening the game for the first time, before even getting to a settings menu, you have to select your character, but during all of that MUSIC BLASTS AT TOP VOLUME WITHOUT THE OPTION TO CHANGE IT. As well as the game launching in windowed mode in a weird resolution. This is a no no for PC gaming and a low standard of a port. The characters also went from this cartoony type graphic to an anime style graphic. Why? Torchlight was never an anime game, why should it all of a sudden be now? It doesn't make it any better and in a sea of Anime rip offs, it just gets lost in the sauce. It's trying to be Genshin in a way. The style is boring and overused. The abilities also feel lacking. I know I don't have many hours in the game, but if the base ability feels so boring to use, then I'm not expecting much more from other abilities.

All this to say: When porting a mobile game to PC, you need to change the way the game reacts to the players interaction, because if not, it truly just feels like you're playing a really cheap game, and this is what this feels like. Granted it's free, but that's no excuse. You're still making money from people purchasing cosmetics, there is no reason for you to not be able to change things from the mobile version. This game has very low player numbers and I can see why. Adding seasons and new cosmetics isn't what is going to drive people to your game. What would drive people to the game is good game design and a decent port. This fails on both counts. It is lazy and well, not Torchlight. It has 0 of Torchlights charm and feel. 0 of the game design decisions that the previous 2 iterations had. And as such it has become an empty shell of what could've been great.
