It's a really cute take on the productivity companion genre that I've mostly seen in mobile apps in the past. I love the atmosphere and the fact that there are multiple noise options.

I hope they keep adding content as right now it seems a bit bare-bones, but my overall opinion is positive nonetheless!

I had a blast (hihi) playing this ! Very fun game with an emphasis on its soundtrack, with it being a rhythm game, which is amazing!! It's really accessible for a rhythm game as well, in my opinion - the tutorial is simple and easy to understand!

Early Access Review
A zombie game where you (and other players if you choose to play online) are the only survivors of a zombie apocalypse, at least as of now. You WILL die, and the game is honest about it from the start. It's what you make of the experience that'll dictate your fun. You want to live off scavenged supplies in your city hideout? Sure. You want to live off the land, deep in the woods, away from it all? Go ahead!

The sandbox is yours. Almost everything in the game is modifiable, and if you need even more options, the modding scene is great.

The game can get overwhelming at first, but if you just go along with it, you'll find yourself learning quickly. Don't get too attached to your first couple characters. Don't try to min-max too much, just have fun !

I got this game as a gift from a friend, and I love it! It's very relaxing, and the puzzles aren't too hard. The game even encourages you to use hints if you ever find yourself stuck on a certain puzzle (using hints is linked to 2 achievements iirc) Everything from the visuals, gameplay and audio were really well done! Props to the team

Yes it's a bit short, but it's about what I'd pay for a jigsaw puzzle, so I really can't complain here. If you're on the fence, wait for a sale (biggest discount as of Dec 2023 was -35%)!

I swear I tried to keep this concise but there's so much to talk about so oh well :

This game has been a wonderful experience. I didn't rush my playthrough at all, so it probably took me longer than most other players. My playtime isn't representative of that however : as of writing this, I've scrapped 2 runs in act 1, almost completed a coop run, and finally completed my solo file. I will certainly come back to it in the future!

This warning is for the rats, the gremlins, the players like me who like to open almost every single box, who want to read all the books, want to explore every nook and cranny the game has to offer. Shockingly, I found myself letting go of my RAT tendencies in the second half of the game. The scope of the city was too big, and the snooping around was getting out of hand. Hear me out, the game is still a marvel to play even if you don't go through every wardrobe in Baldur's Gate. It took me a while, but I got there. You'll finish the game with an abundance of unused items and camp supplies anyways, even on Tactician Mode.

Speaking of difficulty, don't be scared about what the game throws at you. I found the normal difficulty way too easy, so I switched to Tactician on a fresh save. Even then, you can play in autopilot a lot of the time assuming you have experience with turn-based RPGs. There's no permadeath, so as long as you have one character standing, you can revive everyone after an encounter for a very small fee.

I've never played DnD, so I approached gameplay like, well, a game, so I didn't really do any funny shenanigans to cheese encounters. Never liked to shove enemies off cliffs either (again, the rat at play not wanting to loose bosses' loot). The learning curve was present in the beginning for me, notably in terms of vocabulary and dice-roll mechanics. However, I would say it's not as steep as in grand strategy games.

Didn't watch any videos or read any guides for "optimal builds" or anything like that. Don't do it, you're wasting your time. Unless you're playing in Honour Mode, then that's completely understandable!!!!! But min-maxing is not needed at all for this game (again, not Honor Mode). I wish there was a harder game mode that wasn't an Ironman run, but I don't know anything about game design so I guess it'd have to be more than just inflating enemy stats. Smarter AI maybe? Not my call!! I'll admit I did use a character approval guide though (wink wink).

The gameplay experience is great, still. The game is very flexible with what it allows you to do. You have many companions to choose from, and even then you're free to completely rebuild their stats as you see fit. Armor, items, weapons, clothes - there's a big variety of them (as an RPG should have).

Voice acting-wise, Baldur's Gate 3 is a game to look up to. Even with every line in the game being voiced except from the ones your player character says, everything is done very well. There's so many different characters, and even minor roles or one-liner NPCs' voices never feel like amateur work. The quality standard is very high.

The environmental graphics, soundtrack, and world size are nice, but nothing revolutionary's going on here. I need to point out that the facial animations in this game are VERY good - you don't get any of that uncanny valley feeling, it all feels natural. If you choose to play as Tav however, you'll notice that their facial expressions and idle stances can be a bit ... funny.

I LOVE the fact that Tav is a very blank state character. You have to invent their backstory, and you choose your actions and dialogue according to how you feel they would react in certain scenarios. This can be a drawback for some however, because to keep the players's narrative freedom surrounding the character, Tav doesn't feel concretely connected to anything in the story or the world : they feel like an extra. I say it's fair for some to feel that way, and I understand their POV. I would recommend playing as an origin character or The Dark Urge in that case!

TLDR : This game is lots of fun and definitely worth the price. Don't stress about the difficulty, don't min-max, just have fun and enjoy the ride without rushing too much. Go at your own speed and make the experience yours.

not worth playing without a ♥♥♥♥ ton of mods. modders are the backbone of the sims community.

i can't recommend this game to new players - the sheer amount of DLC makes it WAY too expensive to get the full experience upfront, and the base game is unbelievably boring.

considering the lack of support and bugfixing for many DLC packs, i can't recommend this game to a newcomers even if I'm fully aware that I play it a lot

Can't say I'm the biggest fan of all the new mechanics, but the worst thing for me are the glitches/bugs that are very likely to end a run (ie getting flung off stage in an infinite loop till you respawn with 1hp). Also fire/burn seems to hit way too hard, don't know if this is a bug or balance problem but either way it's no fun. Collapse mechanic seems unbalanced. The new enemy types seem to make the game a lot harder too (this can be either a good or bad thing). The new items and stages are fun.

Edit : Got to round 50 of the new game mode, game stopped spawning enemies preventing me from finishing the round (and unlocking the new survivor). Died from the void and lost all progress. Also a bug that should be fixed.

Would not recommend the DLC until the bugs are fixed at least. I wouldn't blind buy this especially at full price.

Lots of fun, and has a great multiplayer mode!

(Edit) : Still playing and enjoying the game :) Would definitely recommend!

The game looks good visually, but gets boring quick and the gameplay feels very shallow. I would recommend that you watch some (up to date) gameplay before buying. Random players can join your lobby even when you play alone, so make sure to disable multiplayer if you dont want anyone in your group (that option is kind of buried in the settings menu if you don't know it exists).

The story missions are very boring and I could not bring myself to care about the main storyline. The game simply isn't for me.
