A rather lackluster campaign mixed with terrible game modes in the campaign; ranging from basic game mode with 4 different objectives "Get X population, survive zombie waves, kill all infected, destroy all infected towns.", a game mode where you just plop a bunch of units down and go out and do some chores as you wait for the mission to end and an ARPG/where's Waldo like game mode which lacks any of the fun of an ARPG and plenty of frustration as you try to find the containers which may or may not have loot.

The game isn't hard, it's frustratingly boring and I find myself waiting for something to happen.

Also the campaign has a story, if you can call it that. I wouldn't; it'd be an insult to stories everywhere.

Turok is an old N64 classic. It's pretty much balls to the walls fun Doomesque FPS. The game has a variety of weapons moreso than the numerical hotkeys have room for. The guns seem to follow the basic progression ranging from pistol, shotgun, autoshotgun, assault rifle up until it gets weird with an alien weapon which is hard to describe, a quad rocket launcher because 1 missile is for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, a gun that turns enemies to stone then causes them to explode and the special weapon that feels like the game was saying "The fusion cannon is boring. We need a gun with a more awesome explosion."

The game is fast paced with excellent mapping with large levels filled with a variety of enemies for you to gun down.

Though the game does have platforming, but with the jump system it's less of an issue than with most platforming in an FPS so it becomes a matter of personal taste.

God I love this game. But the devs decided to use a bit of spyware to spice things up.

♥♥♥♥ you Creative Assembly. Even though you're dumping it you're still shady as ♥♥♥♥ and need to be called out on ♥♥♥♥.

This game decided to pack in a bit of juicy spyware without telling you.

Ya know, cause they care.

♥♥♥♥ Firaxis, ♥♥♥♥ Take Two. This ♥♥♥♥ is not on.

This game is a major improvement over it's predecessor in many ways. The guns feel like they have actual weight, the atmosphere and tone doesn't suffer from massive whiplash.

But why am I giving this game a negative review? Audio broke and despite my efforts to try and fix it I can't seem to do it. Game breaking bugs seem to be the main skill of this development team since this isn't the first time I've encountered this from their games.

I can't say that much about the game really beyond the aesthetic and the pretty sweet music. Why? Because the boss fight on the fourth mission requires a QTE button mash that pretty much will blow out my wrist trying to pass. Can't even edit the ini files to make it tolerable.

So yeah, pretty much ♥♥♥♥ this game for trying to destroy my wrist with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ QTE button mashing.

I faced a pretty serious game breaking bug in Chapter 3 where I couldn't progress. I verified the game files, restarted the level multiple times and that's about it. From my time playing, I felt a reinstall wasn't worth the time and effort.

- The guns feel really flighty and have as much recoil as a shotgun would, the sound assets are terrible.

- The game suffers from so much tonal whiplash I'm not sure if it has a neck anymore. It jumps from a depressed bleak feeling to a generic high octane shooter quite a bit.

Not worth a cent in my mind.

It's a nice simple story, while it doesn't have any text of the sort it uses visualisation in a clever way to convey the story. It has a very limited amount of interactivity and is more akin to a movie than a game.

With 90 minutes and a cheap price, worth picking it up if you have the time.

I got in an argument with a stop sign.

It won the argument.

You too can lose an argument with a stopsign if you buy this game and play as a Malkavian.

I've also played more than 11 minutes, Steam doesn't work well with the unofficial patch found here http://www.patches-scrolls.de/game/4647/7. The patch works, Steam just doesn't seem to acknowledge that I'm playing it.
