Introduction
I usually don't post reviews for many games, but after a friend showed me Rabbit & Steel and I gave it a few hours, I was insanely hooked. In fact this game is the one game I've played in ages that has provided THIS much enjoyment for me. I used to raid in FFXIV, so this game is filled with nostalgia and memories, but also the mechanics and gameplay are just so damn fun! Think of high level raiding without the weekly commitments, or the grinding to max level. Just jump in and play!

Gameplay
The game is a roguelike. You start by choosing the "location" you'd like to enter first. Each "location" is a set of mini-bosses before the final boss which tests your skills. You can count each "location" as one big boss with sub-phases. That's the way I like to look at it at least. Within these locations you can open chests which provide many roguelike items to improve your build. On Hard and onwards you need good damage to complete bosses before hitting their enrages. There is also a shop that provides some potions and ways to augment your abilities.

The boss design is amazing and nostalgic to FFXIV players. Stacks! Spreads! Fans (Proteans)! And many different forms of the above that create such awesome boss fights. Some mechanics from FFXIV actually do make an appearance in some form in this game, and I'm SO here for it.

The game involves a few classes to start, but you can unlock more classes the more you play. Each class is essentially a DPS in some form, but some can provide group-wide buffs and things. But you can build that in with items as well. Each class essentially does damage in a different manner (Wizard is literally BLM btw). I'm a super fan of Heavyblade though. It's such a fun class.

The bosses change mechanics based on 1 player or 2+ players. In that 2+ players it gives you a more raid-like feeling, and 1 player involves a more bullet hell feeling, but still keeping some puzzle "find the safe spot" mechanics in there. This is a great way to give solo players a great experience as well as groups!

Music
Pretty good music in this game I don't think that's a surprise since indie game music is always so good. I am personally a sucker for the final boss's theme. It gives me a mix of Touhou and Undertale vibes.

Verdict
I am a massive fan of this game and if you like the concept of boss fights in MMOs but have no time to commit to one or the energy to do so, this is a FANTASTIC game and it's amazing for the price!

So to preface this, Rhythm Games are probably the genre I have the most experience with. My main game currently is SDVX, but I've played mobile rhythm games, desktop, and arcade. So I'm going into this game with a lot of experience.

I'd also like to say I pretty much exclusively play this game on Lunatic and exclusively the rhythm game, I'm not a fan of the danmaku mode, so I'll refrain from talking about that.

The Good
- The songlist is phenomenal. Truly some amazing bangers in here. Would like to see more underground circles though, like SEVENTH HEAVEN MAXION and such. But still I love the songs chosen here.
- The charts. Genuinely, I probably like 90% of the charts in this game, even Unknown X. It seems like they got actually experienced charters to work on this game, so seriously love it there.
- The timing window. I am a fan of timing windows like this. Not insanely strict (looking at you, IIDX), but strict enough to where you need to actually get the hang of the timing window. After some hours playing, my accuracies went from 84% all the way to 91+, it just took some practice.
- The ability to not need to interact with the danmaku mode if you don't want to. I am a huuuuuge fan of this! I'm not into the danmaku mode, so I just don't play it. I don't know of the extent of this in the story mode, but if you don't like the danmaku mode you don't need to interface with it.

The cons may seem like a lot, but they're all minor and not really too bad for me. Just a forewarning.

The Bad (There might be some biases as there are some issues I am experiencing I am putting here. So take those specific issues with a grain of salt)
- I run this game through a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, and I am getting some weird moments where the audio stutters, and in bad cases the game does as well. I'm not sure if this is just me (as I use an interface, these have been known to cause issues with rhythm game audio drivers), but maybe it's worth the team look into this.
- Map offsets. This one's a minor gripe, as I never really noticed my accuracy shifting from map to map often. But I do notice in some maps the offsets are not as precise as they are in other maps. I have seen other people talk about this, it hasn't affected me much but worth pointing out.
- The UI, primarily around the story. When there is text discussing the situation, it looks a bit unpolished and could use improvement there.
- Actually I'd also like to say the story itself feels a bit boring because it's primarily text dump with a few art pieces here and there. If the entire game was in the style of small text with the characters (like after you perform a prayer), I would rate this higher.
- Score and Grades. I don't understand ... what the heck the grades mean? I know they're based on the score but what's the score based on? I feel like grades should be entirely based on my accuracy. Make me work for an SS. I have been getting SS's on nearly every song and I'm not that good of a player. I feel like SS should be for like 99%+, or maybe 95% since the accuracy is tight.

I'm in love with this game, and the good outweigh the cons heavily since the good is all of the core of a rhythm game (minus the score, but there IS an accuracy result so that nearly makes up for it)

I haven't purchased any of the packs yet, but I will have to do that. I hope more music will come out in the future!

Note: This is a review of someone who's first Atelier game is Ryza.

This is genuinely a wonderful game. Very cozy atmosphere, funny, and engaging. The game is complex enough to be fun, but the synthesis systems and crafting are not too overwhelming to be lost in. In fact most systems in this game I learned just by playing and experimenting.

And I think that's what this game excels at. It doesn't waste your time. If you are struggling against a boss, you can throw yourself at the boss 100 times with different combinations while you brainstorm what may work and what doesn't. Try different traits, different item combinations, different team compositions. It's all easy to do. Every character also levels up at the same time so if you want to do a quick swap with a character you've never used, you can do that too!

The endgame bosses (dark elemental and true final boss) were both fun, and difficult yet completely doable using the crafting systems and methods to just create such overpowered items (Genesis Hammer is great btw)

Also the game is great to 100%, and feels satisfying while you're doing it.

Try this game out if you like crafting, progression, or just a cozy story to get lost in!

Early Access Review
quaver is better than osumania btw LMAOOOO

Anyway. Quaver is another vsrg (vertical scrolling rhythm game) (finally a good one coming to steam) that takes elements from literally every rhythm game of the same style and throws them into one game. From great community elements to amazing community maps and songs to tons of quality of life features and multiplayer, the game has it all

As someone who's played since before the first alpha, I must say this is probably my favorite VSRG so far, and I've played them all or so I think.

The actual beta launch had tons of hiccups and the servers aren't the greatest right now, but the game itself is still very much playable albeit offline.

I can't wait to see where they take this game.

Just to mention, I don't have much time in the game but I have hundreds of hours in VSRGs, and after playing the game at the hardest difficulty for this time I think I have some sort of opinion.

Simply enough, the game as it stands seems like it's quite easy to seasoned VSRG players (Vertical Scrolling Rhythm Games). If you're looking for a challenging game, this is not it. However, that is not to say this game is bad. Let's dive into what makes it a good game and who should end up playing this.

If you're someone new to rhythm games, or you're a casual rhythm gamer then this game is perfect for you. The song difficulties go up to a maximum of 10, and at the maximum difficulty the most complex patterns are single streams and a couple of jumps thrown in there (jumps are just two notes played at the same time). Someone who's new, or a casual, would find this game enjoyable because of its simplicity and great art style which brings me to another point: The game looks gorgeous. It's not built for playability (as in, competitive), it's built for style which gets an A+ from me. If you fall under these categories, pick the game up.

That brings me to my other point, the people who SHOULDN'T really expect much from this game are those who are already seasoned and active VSRG player (those who are coming from years of Stepmania, Etterna, osu!mania, or IIDX). I fall under this category, however I do enjoy just playing chill charts from time to time which allows me to enjoy this game. However, there isn't much here for us. This game being built for mobile and arguably also built for console (switch) ... playing on PC is almost like CHEATING. I recommend this game create some PC focused charts for the PC game in the future, and perhaps label them so they're easy to get to.

I enjoy the game, but there are a lot of people who potentially will not.

ALSO: Just wait for Quaver lol

NOTE: As I'm sure you're already aware, you must buy the Real Tone Cable before purchasing this game, do not simply purchase this off of steam. If you go to your local gamestop/bestbuy/target/whatever else you have around you, you'll be able to pick up the game and the cable together.

General
A lot of people will tell you that this game is not very good for beginners and that you should already familiarize yourself with the guitar before playing, but I have to disagree with those people. The only reason I ever started even using the guitar was because of the first Rocksmith. I used Rocksmith to get the very basics down, and then I started to learn my own music. Rocksmith, however, is a unique practice tool in which you can learn and practice music while getting down your technique. Do practice on your own though.

Gameplay
The gameplay itself is fun! If you're a rock rhythm game fan (like Guitar Hero or Rock Band) then this game is basically that but with a real guitar. You can use various tools to help you such as the Dynamic Difficulty setting which allows a song to change and get progressively harder as you play it. You also have arcade minigames that can help you get better at certain skills. As well as other tools to further improve your playing. I really think the gameplay in this game is fantastic.

Hit Detection
The Hit Detection could be better, definitely. Tip:When you use the per-song tuner, I'd recommend you (after tuning it once and you have to repluck all the strings) to pluck each string and mute right after. Give it a second. If the string does not immediately go to the next string you've got to retune because if you DON'T, then rocksmith will get certain notes wrong when they are really right. It happens quite often, and it sucks.

Content
Alright, so, the songs that the game currently has aren't 100% amazing. However they have some great music nonetheless (Rise Against - Savior, Iron Maiden - The Trooper, Nirvana - Heart Shaped Box, and so forth). There are also TONS and TONS of DLC songs that you can purchase which provide a great variety of music choices... if you have the coin. A lot of people would hate this method of doing things, but I actually don't mind it. Rock Band is another game that does something similar to this. If you'd rather not spend money, there is something called Rocksmith CDLC (Custom DLC) which is a way to get custom user-created charts (?) if you're into that. However, keep in mind that these are COMMUNITY created, meaning things either may be correct or not.

Overall
I personally love this game and everything about it however the hit detection could definitely be improved. I'd say I have to give this game a 9.5. Definitely deserves a rating like that.

Note: I had just beaten the game, so it is still fresh in my mind. There also may be spoilers!

General
You play as a character named Captain Nathaniel Renko. A U.S. Soldier that had a mission on the island Katorga-12. A strange island housing an even stranger element, E99. Crazy time manipulation technologies involved, but definitely an interesting way of going about them. Throughout the game you fight a mix of soldiers, and strange infested creatures. Boss fights are at a minimal but they are there and not very difficult.

Gameplay
Personally, the gameplay is a top-notch part of this game. It was fun, fast-paced, and definitely entertaining! They had two big boss fights, and a few more mini-boss fights / high-risk enemies. The game is definitely not an incredible horror game, either, but it is very scary at some points of the game for people who aren't very good with horror (me). The biggest downfall is ammo, and scarcity with weapon lockers. To be honest, I found weapon lockers when I didn't need them, but they were no where to be seen when I DID need them. It made some parts of the game difficult, but other parts of the game not so much.

Story
I loved the story! Loved it, loved it, LOVED IT. It was interesting, took on time manipulation very well. Even had an insane plot twist. I'd have to say the biggest downfall of the story is the ending. I wish that depending on who you chose to kill (barisov/demichev), you could leave the other and continue on with a little more of the game. Sadly you have to kill them both.

Overall
Overall, the game was great. I'd give it an 8.5/10 because of the small issues that did make the game a tad bit more annoying than it really had to be. But other than that I'd definitely recommend this game to people who are into incredible stories, and time manipulation.

Warframe, one of the best games I have ever played on steam!

General
The game is basically a third person "shooter". However, there is more to it than just shooting, the melee combat is incredibly fun! You can basically run through the game using only melee if you really desired. The parkour is fun, but could definitely use some work. It doesn't feel 100% polished up, never did, but it's what we have. The boss fights are fun, but most are difficult on your own at the start and you should get some help from a public match or with some more experienced friends.

Combat
I love the combat in this game. It feels great firing your weapons at all enemies, or stabbing them to death. There are tons of weapons to use! Every one of them can be obtained in the game legitimately, but most of them can also be paid for. I will explain more of this in the free-to-play model.

Parkour
The parkour is fun, but not completely polished. For one you can't grab ledges, which definitely needs to be added. However, I also feel like that could hinder the experience and get you caught in ledges where you didn't want to. In the game you can Wallrun, double jump, bullet-jump, slide, ninja spin slash, etc. It's fun once you get used to it.

Free-to-Play Model
In my opinion this game has the best free-to-play model I have ever seen. If you want everything in the game you do not need to pay at all. However, it will take you a lot of work. But the amount of work you have to do is completely worth it for most items. All you have to do is go to planets and grind for resources to build different items. This is, however one of the problems I have with this game.

Everything that is put out ends up becoming a grind-fest. This just makes the game boring at long periods of time and you have to put down the game after being bored of it, and then pick it back up at a later date. This goes on for the entire game. The game, however, feels incredibly fun when you do get back into it.

Overall
Overall, this game is one of my favorites with the amount of fun I've ever had. I give it a 8/10. The issues it does have does not outweigh my experiences, and thus I feel like the grade I gave it serves well.

Okay so I made a review at 8.3 hrs... im now 1.3k hours and I feel I can make a better and shorter review.

Amazing game with steep learning curve. Follow a build guide and reign destruction upon the enemies of wraeclast.

Also so many different endgames and amazing boss fights and music.

I love the gear progression as well.

Also D4 bad.

Note: First time ever playing assassin's creed, so my views will be based around that.

The game as a whole was great. It wasn't incredibly easy, but not very hard either. The parkour was fun but frustrating occasionally due to clunkiness that ended up costing me a life or two.

The controls and combat in the game are very unique and different from most other games, which I liked. I felt like an assassin and I definitely had to think about each move I was making or I could end up regretting it.

The story was fantastic, and I could definitely understand Al-Tair's feelings. Him, as a person, changed throughout and became a completely different person at the end.

Overall, I would give this title a 7/10. It was incredibly fun, but it was repetitive in the long run and had a clunky parkour system. Thankfully, the game is short so it doesn't drag on for long.
