Early Access Review
I waited a long time for this game, I didn't know it was one single dude developing it. But even without this knowledge, I loved it right away. It is in Early Access, and you feel it strongly through missing content for now, you will come to a point of thinking "What now?" ... Well, I guess I am there now, only thing left to do is to max out the difficulty level and then that's it.

But don't be wronged about the saying of too less content. For it being an early access title and only developed by one guy, it has strong potential and what's already playable, is a blast. I had not encountered any bugs, let alone game-breaking ones. Or anything that was out of the ordinary.

Much of the gameplay is really well thought out. The dynamic city building, the really well simulated needs of your families. The great chains of production levels ... From clearing the forest to reforestation to building planks and wooden parts to produce new goods. Or tilling the fields, threshing the wheat, processing it into flour and finally selling the bread in the trading center or offering it at the market for your hungry farmers. And sooo much more.

You need really good logistical skills, which you can learn over time by just doing it. It's friendly for a newbie, but you can optimize to perfection if you want. The idea of multiple independent cities instead of one big pool of money and materials is well done overall, the logistics of transporting goods is really great and presents a good challenge if you put your mind to it. You can spend hours perfecting the layout of your homes and storage areas, which level needs which house, how big the work area needs to be and much more.

And what about the graphics? A friend of mine didn't know what I was showing him on a screenshot. He thought it was some kind of New World clone. The graphics are really triple-A worthy, especially for a simulation game. I love the changing seasons, I love the little details (although 4K mods are worth a try) and it's all around well done.

---

For now, its definity a recommendation. But, for the future it all depends on the developer. Can he add all the needed gameplay-additions the playerbase wishes for? Can he bring the game to a final, release-worthy stage? I can tell that he is capable of doing astonishing work by himself alone - and if he says he doesnt need more people to work for him full-time thats fair enough ( I am making my fortune with my own company too and am completly alone–people working in my little office for me wouldn't help me but hurt my company and I do make a very well living, so I can 100 % feel what he is saying). So please, do not beg him to employ more people, which ultimatly may even hurt the game and its development.

Please, people, if you're still considering buying this game; do it. Help a guy make a game that is far more optimized and thoughtful than what so many other big studios are incapable of. And may Manor Lords become one of the best and greatest simulation games for building cities in the Middle Ages.

I want to like, no, I want to love this game. I have had a good time in CS1. I have enjoyed using mods in CS1. I bought DLCs - most of them - without hesitation or with regrets after the fact. But that's the key word; regret. I regret my anticipation of the second part. I regret the trust I put in the team behind Cities. Furthermore, I regret that I even pre-ordered the game and I regret that I waited like a stoopid for the mod support instead of immediately and honorably returning the game in protest against this mess that the studio made.

Yes, the game has good aspects, good improvements, good ideas. But it is by no means mature, neither does it pay the necessary respect to its predecessor nor to the many dedicated fans and the large community.

Instead of paid DLCs, you would have had to work 6-9 months on a big 1.1 update where you would have had to add many, many, truly many features, fixes, content and assets as well as provide mod support from outside and via the workshop shortly after release.

But given the current development, the third installment will be released in just 3 years with even more deductions and with illusory graphics improvements to justify an even higher price and forcing always-online as well as loot boxes and/or season pass, because what are we if we remain honest? We are the studios' livestock, with massive udders that demand milking, because that's what we crave. Grab me by the Teats and start pulling and squeezing. (5 € for a bloody.... Radio station? Which means, I warn you, 50 € for each DLC gameplay expansion, with less content than Sims 4 and more bugs).

So me and my friend are coming up on a combined 20+ hours already, have also played "together" by streaming each other starting a new save game.

You're always learning new tricks so far, how to best manage your business, how to maximize profit, and it's just incredibly fun if you're into games like this. Yes, not everything is perfect, it still needs some small but important features like proper staff needs, more simulation of the competition etc. but there I see a lot of potential, which the developers surely know on.

I have read a lot that later quickly runs out of content, so from 40-60 game hours. But when I see the roadmap from the developer, I have high hopes that this is still a real Gem. In any case, absolute buy recommendation. Let's see when the game becomes repetitive, but for 20 € to have 40-60 hours of fun, worth it all.

Definitely, worth the 15 €, it's the FPS-Shooter I've been looking for a long time. Quite a realistic gun handling and sounds, graphics complementing the game, and everything feels well put together.

I am genuinely surprised how good this game can handle both, slow-paced tactic games and fast-paced domination games. Even tho I have the feeling, that camping gives you quite the advantage, it's not too overpowered. Also depends on the map. Since my early days, back 13 years ago when I started to play FPS-Shooters, I always stuck to my Sniper Rifle. And never had I more joy using one like in this game.

I haven't noticed any bugs so far, besides one: I was stuck between two crates and couldn't free myself, unfortunately, my grenade fell two meters too far away from me, so I could only kill myself by teamkilling someone else. And sometimes the ragdolls are all over the place.

Besides that, I can only suggest anyone this game.
Even with a smaller player base, you get into a match quite quickly with full lobbys. It runs smoothly without any performance issues on highest graphic settings. And the more I play, the more I want to continue.

I enjoy this game, until you start to have the most toxic players each and every round. Started just at my 8th hour or so.
Fix your salty community. Worse than Rocket League. Gosh, even worse than Minecraft.

The best DLC for game which has ever been released. Get Witcher 3, play the awesome story, get the DLC and also play this story. You wont be done until 2018 if you take your time and enjoy CDPRs work.

Psyonix doesn't care if you're a feeder, intentionally lose games and troll your teammates. They DON'T. They'll never get banned, or anything alike.

But BEHOLD, if you make a joke with your friend in a private match. Then they'll kick your a** out of that game for a whole week. F u Psyonix and F u chinese tencent incent-company epic.
