Same problems as madden with online play. Plenty of leavers. Passing is god awful. Defense feels like a chore. Running the ball is the only solid thing. Have to log in 7 days to unlock dynasty mode for offline play.

After the first update, screen goes black whenever a play starts.

My favorite multiplayer experience to date. It has quite the learning curve and am still figuring out new interactions and angles after 500 hours. If you are a duo, I would highly recommend playing in trios. If you find yourself always getting shot in the back, there are less teams and a slight randomization to the numbers giving it more of an organic feel.

The game is more accessible than ever now as you have every base gun at the beginning of a prestige instead of waiting for you to level up. You still have to play with the gun to get variants and different ammo, but now you don't have to use starter weapons if you plan on prestiging. If you are looking for a fast paced cod-like shooter, this is not for you. You'll have to put in at least a dozen hours in order to get the general feel of the game, but it only improves from then on. The game is more knowledge and strategic planning than a straight up shootout. (Unless you run shotgun and charge every time). Rise up dead hunter and enjoy :)

I see a lot of negative reviews about cheaters, but I haven't encountered any cheaters in the past couple of months. I play on NA, so it might be other regions that are more affected than in the US. Hopefully for those experiencing cheaters, the new engine roll-out will fix that. I usually play around 5 star mmr, so perhaps it is more prevalent at 6 stars.

Edit 8/19/24: Updating to say that the UI is not bad, just different.

Whatever it is, this game runs like hot trash on any setting (I have a 12700k, 4070Ti, DDR5) I am seeing anywhere between 50-80fps and it jumps up and down every second so the experience is not smooth at all. I run at ultrawide 1440p, if I reduce resolution down to 720p, the same thing happens, except add 10fps.

Game is not what I expected it to be. Had many issues getting the game to not crash and it soured my experience. There are known issues with nvidia 40xx gpus and hasn't been patched since launch. You have to disable Hardware-Accelerate GPU Scheduling to get around this(decrease in performance across most games with it off). Graphics seem really bad for being on all ultra - it looks like I set the game to "low." The npcs seem to have a green screen effect behind them like you would see in movies which was rather jarring. The dialogue also seems quite forced in a lot of scenes. The intro/tutorial was decent though. Not for me I guess.

Most bugs of last patch have been fixed and back to the great game that it is... obviously needs some balancing issues but still fun.

Update 5/6/2024

Game is still semi balanced but there is still little reason to play light in a ranked setting. Nukes and Recon Senses are gone which makes for a more enjoyable experience. Friends and I still experience a crash once in a blue moon.

S4 is great!

Great game with friends. However... there should definitely be an option for more than 4 people. You can download a mod for it and is relatively simple to do. Had a lot of fun with 6 people. Definitely better than playing with 4.

Gameplay is very floaty and has quite the latency issue. I used both max graphics settings and lowest graphics settings and no difference. I feel like I am playing on a controller with mouse and keyboard. The cross-hair and direction of the character feels.... off. The tutorials can be condensed as they are rather intrusive. They are so in depth that anyone can pick it up, but someone who plays games knows 90% of what the tutorial tells you to. A basic tooltip instead of an instruction manual would be better. Game certainly has potential, but not very fun to play in current state.

Great little strategic game. Has varying modifiers and difficulty settings for more challenge. Simple game without much brain power to relax to. Does what it does very well!
