This is a game I remember seeing on the Store a couple months back and thinking "Huh, that looks neat. Maybe I'll check that out later." Wishlisted it and more or less forgot about it.
Recently, I saw some discussion online which made it seem like there was a lot to love about this game, and while visual novel style games aren't typically my thing I decided to finally give this a go when it went on sale for the Summer event.

As someone who's always been interested in writing, and roleplay, and character-building, this game scratches an itch I don't think anything else I've played has quite been able to. Make no mistake, this is a CHOICES MATTER game, and your choices will influence the outcome in so many little ways that can lead to wildly different outcomes.
It's a beautiful story, whether you decide to go full Paragon or full Renegade- you'll find those options aren't so clear cut.
On my very first playthrough, which lasted 5 hours largely because I was streaming it on discord with friends to discuss the options, crack jokes, and experience the game together, I managed to get quite possibly one of the most beautiful character arcs I think I've ever read more or less on accident.
AND THEN THERE WAS MORE.
If you enjoy reading strong characters, if you enjoy a game where each choice can dramatically impact the outcome of the story, and if you enjoy a simpler art style which can magnify the horror tag with a gorgeous contrast, this is a game you'll probably love.
It also doesn't do the jumpscare thing, at least not in any of the runs I've gone through. So that's always a plus.
