Currently, don't touch it! This is more of a tech demo than a game. It needs at least another year or more of work and adjustments to the game mechanics and technology. Compared to IndustryGiant2, it's even a step backwards in terms of some of the mechanics. No idea who came up with this, but it wouldn't hurt to look outside the box at representatives of the genre...

- maps far too small
- hardly any vehicle selection
- no production statistics (input/consumption) wtf!?
- techtree hidden behind paywall!
- technology from the 90s!
- awkward laying of roads and tracks
- transport to and from industries cannot be selected, but is predetermined?!
- construction limit for production
- construction limit for cities
- zones for individual areas and companies, thus artificially limiting the expansion options
- technically inadequate
- hardly any setting options
- graphics from 10 years ago
- textures don't fit and are washed out

Unfortunately, it's absolutely abysmal. On high-end hardware, the game runs like crap, stutters, texture loading errors, hiccups. There are edges all over the map where the vehicles get stuck.

The AI ​​is so bad, I'd rather switch back to mods, because I know they work! If you send two AI vehicles to the same destination, they block each other and if not, it manages to do it on its own with the message "Object in the way", even though the road is completely clear. Unbelievable...

Apparently a lot of bugs related to the UI and the orders, which are not calculated correctly.

But the main thing is that they cut the very poor content right at release, just to be able to offer 1 DLC for €0.99 for one day. That's more than cheeky and almost outrageous considering the whole package.

Absolutely not recommended, even two new types of fruit don't help to make up for the obvious shortcomings!

Not able to play during early access, daily maintenance for ~6hours during the paid access period. What a scam. Regardless of the rest of the game - this is unacceptable.


So in sum i was able to play about 10 hours out of 5 days early access. Daily disconnects during gameplay, yesterday even every minute in the evening. Unplayable.


Update: Right now - F2P release time and the servers are down. What a $hitshow. I thought Amazon / NC learned from the New World fiasco. Nevermind....

Game is dead in 4 month anyway.

I played for about 2 hours and then i refunded the game. Here is why.

It has a superb art style, is very polished and the gameplay is straight forward. But there are alot of hickups which made me scratch my head. First of all - you have no control over the environment and you loose TONS of money on your deliveries if something breaks. Even the slightest bump loosing 1hp will make you suffer. Hell even loosing gravity (empty powercell) during a transport makes you loose money because inside your truck some stuff bumped around. Thats plain stupid.

Controls cant be remapped, controls in general feel to clunky and unresponsive. Settings in general are very limited.

I will give it another try if they support VR because this game looks like a vr game played on a desktop. I dont understand why they didnt implement it from scratch.

What else do you need? I loved the first game and this sequel is no difference - 70+ hours since release and counting.

I dont know about their past games - but this one is fun, original, good graphics and good gameplay mechanics. It tends to be grindy but with your companions you get some Medival Dynasty vibes paired with alot more action oriented combat.

Played 10 hours straight so far, hitting the straps wall before reaching tier 2. But would recommend anyway - its actually fun!

I got V.A.S.T.ed .. launched a mini nuke at a charging super mutant who was 5m away..
Would do it again.

If you havent played this game, you arent a gamer. Simple as that.

As usual on Steam, there is once again review bombing from screamers who just repeat loudly what others have said without having any idea about the game.

1.) You can unlock EVERYTHING by playing and pay with in-game gold (no real money necessary!)
2.) Yes (currently) you can only create one character, but there is the option to delete the save game and the developers have announced that they will include an option for a new game. This decision was INTENTIONAL to give more weight to the main character's actions - like in DD1, by the way!
3.) The graphics are not outstanding but still okay and yes, the performance should still be worked on. The game runs super smoothly on my RTX 4080, even without DLSS.
4.) The control cannot currently be freely assigned, this should be changed. But that's how you can tell that it's a Capcom/controller game...
5.) The combat system and the game world/story are very good! I just played through it for 8 hours because it was so captivating.

If you don't like the game, okay, but stop spreading lies in the reviews, this game doesn't deserve it!

Excellent game - and i didnt expect such a deep gameplay, character progression and fun. Playing with friends has never been better. Its a nice mixture of Starship troopers, Helldiver 1, Star Wars and spiced with a nice touch of dark humor. The game is full of memes and sidekicks towards other games and genres.

There were alot of problems at the start, but the devs reacted quickly. There are still some server and login issues though.

Enshrouded is unique and yet a successful mix of proven concepts. It has a buff system like in Valheim, a voxel building system like from Landmark and a very good mix of tough fights without being unfair.

Added to this is the hand-made map, which creates an incredible atmosphere. The developers have tightly integrated quest progression, lore, exploration and character progression, making it a very exciting game. You always have something to do, just quickly craft something, knock out that opponent or explore that landmark.

All around a successful game, with first-class graphics, destructible terrain, base building par excellence, epic music and sound effects and a class-free character system.

Absolute purchase recommendation. For my 30€ I have already played and built for over 70 hours, it was definitely worth it and we are only a few days after the release. The roadmap is huge and the game is about to get MUCH bigger!

Update: Update 4 dropped and added ALOT of new features like farming, animals, pets, new biome, complete new region, tons of new craftables and building materials. Check it out - its worth every penny!
