Have fun getting wrecked by friends! Survive the environment, the competitors and you're own incompetence all at the same time! All in all it's always a good time. A few rounds of this and you'll be right as rain.

Just finished the main game. I don't typically play a game long enough to finish it, but the cadence of this game and the general story driven aspect of it was enough to keep me coming back and not get bored.

While the story is what sets this apart from a lot of other games, this was also action packed and you could easily spend 100 hours just tearing it up and smashing zombie heads and never get tired of it. It's hard enough to progress weapon levels that you have to earn it a bit, but not so hard that you are driven insane by the sheer difficulty.

The enemies are diverse (not just zombies and raiders) and the story driven curated fights are fun and not too cumbersome.

When you massacre your first hoarde, you will feel like he-man.

This game is a masterpiece. I would state my pedigree and all that ♥♥♥♥♥, but that's irrelivant. After 20 hours this game is incredible, but after 40 it's scope blows the mind. Sure it has it's bugs, non rendering hats, and clothing at a short distance, but that could be my rig. I didn't take the time to see if this was everyone else's experience.

For me it held up under every critical suspicion and went on to completely blow my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mind.

It's so obivously an independent studio. Without going into detail, once again a small european studio has made a game that has defied expectation and any scrutiny would find it an incredible jewel in the landscape of gaming.

This game made me feel like an uncalculated amount of experience was waiting for me at the end of the rainbow, and I have yet to be let down.

It's exactly what I read and watched in the videos.

If you're looking for a fast paced, space shooter, this is not your game. While there is combat in a few forms, that is not the main crux of the game.

It's slow and grindy, and there is a lot that is repetitive.

However, it's multi-dementional (space and air to air combat as well as exploration, terra-forming, self improvement, crafting and levelling gear, exploration, etc).

If you have the right expectations going in it's awesome. Had one bug so far, none of the really well documented ones, and I found a youtube video with the solution in the description...

An aboslute masterpiece. I finished on the blood and broken bones level. It consumed my life for about two weeks as I wanted to experience every little detail.

You cannot get better than this for a fantasy role playing game.

Pros:

- The graphics: Stunning in every aspect. I took screenshots of sunsets, mountain tops, bloody corpses, you name it. It is all hyper realistic.
- Killer battle machanics: It takes a bit to learn, but becomes very fluid. On the harder levels it's necessary to master all aspects of fighting as well as researching each monster so you can determine it's weaknesses.
- Beastiary: The vast amount of creatures you encounter are awesome, and they vary quite a bit.
- Quest lines: There is always something to do. You can get side tracked playing gwent (gambling), trying to screw as many women as you can or just running off discovering things.
- World size: At first it can be a bit daunting. It takes a while to get to all the spots in the main areas, but that's the whole point isn't it :)

Cons

- Launch was a bit rocky. They released unstable and the game crashed a lot. Having Nvidia experience to automate optimal settings made it easier, but the first two days were patch after patch. Stabalized relatively quick though.
- Wish there were more outside areas to explore. Towards the end, I felt a bit like I was running over the same old ground. In fairness that's how I feel at the end of most open world fantasy games though, and I can imagine adding anything with the quality of graphics in this game would require lots of time.

Early Access Review
I was worried about some of the negative reviews, but I played, I laughed I cried. The first time I played online I had a s**t eating grin on my face for ten minutes.

Get it if this is your thing.

Been using Steam for a long damn time now. Never left a review. Leaving this because this game experience has been nothing but complete frustration.

Sign up was a pain. I paid $59.99 for the game, then couldn't play it because I needed an account that the system wouldn't register. Contacted support and eventually got it sorted, but come on guys. If we pay $60 for a game let's us play it without hassle.

Second was I played the training modules and the ship handling is terrible. I would say maybe I'm just a terrible pilot except for the other 1000 flight and space simulator games I played that we're just fine I enjoyed the hell out of playing. I'm sure I could configure yaw and roll and all the other things, but the default was almost unusable. So bad I've decided not to waste my time playing and getting into this game. This game is not a $60 AAA game, so wait for it to go into some crazy weekend deal or something if you want to try it out.
