The game has a pretty steep learning curve, and it can definitely be discouraging for new players. I would recommend being a medic first to get used to the game and then go from there with different roles.

Besides that, I enjoy that this feels like a more realistic combat game. You don't know when you've hit an enemy besides blood splatters, you only have a set number of magazines instead of bullets, it doesn't take much to die or to kill someone. Personally, I like this type of gameplay. You can oneshot someone with rifles very easily (as long as you're able to hit), but that also leaves you open to easily dying and not seeing who did it. It can be frustrating at first, but I really enjoy the game.

If you haven't heard of the other BTD games then this is a good place to start. I've been playing since the first one, and this one has definitely brought a lot of improvements. The devs keep updating the game making small tweaks and balances, add new towers and bloons, and listen to community feedback. After you've been playing for awhile, the only thing you'll really need to grind would be monkey knowledge which is essentially a "skill tree" that you can use to make the game easier, but it is optional. It's simple to get into compared to many other tower defense games, so it's a good place to start.

I would definitely recommend it for anyone new to the genre as a good place to start.

Honestly, this Halo feels like it should have been the next iteration of the series instead of Halo 4. The game play feels like a Halo game, and it feels fantastic to play. There's a good chance you may end up playing the same game mode several times in a row (even on the same map) which definitely gets annoying, but you won't worry about it too much once you really start getting into it.

They made the progression (general and weekly) easier than it was before, so you don't have to worry about never being able to make it to level 100 in the battlepass. There's still some more issues that need ironed out with progression and unlocks (if you've seen the prices on the store, you'll understand), but that's really it. If they ever change it to where you get some experience for good performance in matches, I honestly wouldn't have a single thing to complain about. If they made it to where you could get currency for the store as well while playing, I think that would be even better.
