I'm not sure how to feel about this game exactly, aside from amazed. This is certainly one of the best stories in a video game I've come across, and it is just as touching as the Mass Effects in the character interaction department. If you're looking for deep controls or brain teasters, this isn't your game. If you're looking for story and something to rip your heart out before giving it back to you, just a little twisted afterwards, get this game. Ain't all Zombies here, guys, there's some ♥♥♥♥ to be had down in Georgia tonight.

"Ok Lydia, we're gonna find the tomb of this Red Eagle guy and figure out what he wants. CUE EPIC ROADTRIP MONTAGE!"

Two dragon fights, three adventures, and one Lovecraftian run-in at a lighthouse later...

"We're finally here! Awesome! Now where's the door-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I NEED A KEY FROM THE COLLEGE. WTF?!"

Despite this, the trip was awesome, and I didn't even cover that much of Skyrim. Anything you wanna do in this game, you can, except get those hours back. Although time travel is also a part of the story, so who knows. This game is awesome, and it's also evil. RUN IF YOU VALUE PRODUCTIVITY AND LOVED ONES! RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN! D8

"Ok, now I just need to get my religion enhanced and then I'll have enough money to wage war. Wait. Why are all those Jaguars on the borders? DAMMIT MONTEZUMA, YOU MIGHT NOT THINK IT'S BACKSTABBING, BUT YOU JUST CAN'T BE FRIENDS WITH ME AND THEN ATTACK. Dammit, China hates me, and Ghandi never wants to go to war. MEN! GET TO THAT DESERT AND STOP THE AZTECS! THEY MAY HAVE NUMBERS, BUT WE HAVE IRON!"

I got this game for free when I got XCOM, and I wasn't sure I'd like it. Turns out I had the wrong idea of it, and thought it was an RTS. It's not. It's a TBS board-game of sorts. Also, there is no other game where the Aztecs, the Celts, Ancient Egypt, modern India, and George Washington (who kinda looks and sounds like Bill Clinton, go figure) can both live on the same continent at the same time and actually get along until ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MONTEZUMA GOES ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, THE CRAZY BASTARD.

It's fun. And it will eat your life. But dammit, it's fun. :D

Aliens are invading, and respawn's turned off. Also countries are freaking out, religious nuts professing the end of days, and if you fail, they're right. Curiously, money is scarce, probably because Hank ate all the peanut butter and bombed Argentinia's economy somehow. Probably why they left the project. Whatever, you have your vets and GIANT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ROBOT, EVERYBODY RUN!

If you like strategy, get this. If you like meaningful, custom-made characters, get this. If you like taking your time and freaking out when your plans don't work, you're wierd, but get this. This game is epic and fun. Even when you're pwnt. :P

"Get Jerry on the shields! Yes, I know he can't operate them with his mandibles, but dammit, our robot's dead and we need all the protection we can get! Now vent that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fire out and get in Weapons, we have a hull leak! ♥♥♥♥, I don't care that you're feeling bad, we have to stay on our toes against the Rebel Flagship before they blow-"

~One of the very many possible outcomes of this game. I like it, but it's virtually unwinnable unless luck or smarts help you out. And I seem to have neither. :P

This game would be tons of fun (and when it works it is), if it didn't keep crashing randomly due to my Operating System. Bethesda needs to fix this bug, it's preventing too many people from enjoying one of their best titles, and possibly their most important non-Elder Scrolls game. Besides this terrible, totally easy-to-fix issue on their part, Fallout 3 is a solid rpg.

This is a hard, hard, HARD dungeon crawler, but there's clearly a lot of thought put into it. It's basically old-school with new graphics, but the way it does so is awesome. This game will require trial and error, patience, and actual thought, so be prepared for that. Definitely worth playing!

If you have someone in your life who doesn't buy that video games are a legit art form, have them watch you play this game for a bit, with speakers on full and the lights dimmed. I assure you, if they aren't at least half-engrossed watching it as you are playing it, you have an idiot buddy. This game is cheap, awesome, and original. If there were only one slot open for preserving a perfect example of what this medium can do, I'd pick this game. Then stash all my favorites in a cache for someone else to find.

Get this game. You won't regret it.

If you're into fast action, don't play this game. If you like strategy, in any form at all, play this game. I don't really like how limited the "free" of this free-to-play game is, but the mechanics are sound and thoughtful.

For those of you who haven't tried it, you should. Very nice, thoughtful game in terms of personal characterization and story. Not so much in humvee driving, micromanagement, or combat. But it's fun and compelling.
